My brother paid for us to have dinner here as a wedding present. The service was mostly good, the wine list far too involved, but the food was excellent. It was very busy, even at 7pm on a Thursday night. You have to book. Overall, we were glad we experienced it, but probably felt better about standard fries charged at... More

On he best location along the river side in the city centre, this restaurant offers all in one experience. Great atmosphere, the "only" music you can hear is the satisfied voices of the guests and lively sound of the cutlery. Open kitchen and steaks and fish exposed on ice, best service...and extraordinary food!

If you want to see the hip Berlin, galerists and their clients etc this is your place. Waiters, very sympathic , seem to have been imported directly from latest catwalk. And so does public c in part. Lots of tattoos and beards. Prices of wines exagerated ( ours plus 420 pc compared to retail price) but for sure...winelist is very... More

Although they are known for their meat but can't get over the ceviche we had! It is to die for with a lot of flavor! Just yum! We also had the yellow tail sashimi which was very good too. We were full and couldn't eat much of the aged beef. It was still very good, would have finished it all... More

We had an amazing dining experience and the food although expensive was just about worth it. The wines were very overpriced which was quite disappointing. I would visit again but just stick to beer!!

Visited on a freezing cold February evening with my partner and a former colleague. Shared the 1kg Chateaubriand and was definitely not disappointed! Definitely the best meal I have ever had in Berlin and the service could not have been better. Very highly recommended, can definitely see why it has become such a hot spot.

We had a lobster bisque to start. The soup was full of flavour and the portion was huge! The steaks are definitely a must have at this restaurant.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
