I travel to Berlin frequently and no visit is complete without paying a visit to Cafe Gottlob. The place is charming and everything is somehow right. The cafe is simple, food is good and cheap, staff are friendly, it's busy and yet it's always possible...More

This place is really chilled and has good food!cool to watch people of Schöneberg passing by. The Caipis we had were fabulous, so we ended up having a few! The lady serving was quite interesting, a bit unmotivated, but did what she had to!
Better than average table service, good atmosphere, good place to watch the passing world. Schoenberg is an interesting developing area - Gotlob ( fabulous name ) is an inviting bar - sadly not all local serving bars are.
Good 2-course lunch on weekdays (€8.50), but dreadful, lacklustre waitstaff, at least on Wednesdays. a great pity, because the kitchen really tries hard.
Fantastic street, full of life and restaurant. Nice place, nice garden, nice people....but....we waited 45 minutes for a (average) salade. Cakes were poor. Waiters cpuld hardly speak english.....no credit cards accepted.....should i continue?
