We came to the Cafe Do Brasil for a quick bite to eat after a tour of the nearby Tempelhof Airport and before going to a gig in the nearby Columbiahalle. Both within easy walking distance. We were glad to see some fellow metal-heads there with the same idea. We were lucky to get a table as the restaurant was... More

The taste is authentic Brazilian, the Feijoada was delicious and the portion is pretty generous. You can find caipirinha in virtually any bar in Germany, but here you find the real one, made with good cachaça and white cane sugar. We found the service very friendly and prices were ok for the quality and amount of food we got.

I followed this place even after it moved to its present location. This is where I get my black bean fix when my son and I order the feijoada. It also enjoy the warm appetizers especially the frango (fried chicken). The bar also offers excellent cocktails. Service is warm and friendly but can become a bit absentminded when the place... We chose this restaurant on the basis of the TA reviews, when looking for somewhere close to eat near our apartment in Kreuzberg. It was a snowy evening, and the location on a busy roundabout did not look immediately promising, but once you see the bright yellow and green canopy, you know you're in for a taste of Brazil. We... Had the delicious Brasilian dish Moqueca (fish casserole). Perfect in any way! Will be back. Service ok, could be better.

What a delightful place to eat and be! The staff are really friendly, the food is just like Brazilian food and there is good Brazilian music playing, like Samba and Bossa Nova! I personally recommend to order Coxinha and Feijoada; the last one is very plentiful and the Coxinha is very well made! Will definitely go there again if I... More

I met with two fellow brazilian friends, and each of us after some time in Europe were hoping to eat some good brazilian food. We found two brazilian restaurants in Berlin, and decided to go to that one. We were not disappointed. The prices are reasonable and the food was great. It tasted the same as in Brazil! :-)

We have gone many times to this neighborhood restaurant between Victoria Park and Bergmannstrasse in Berlin. The quality is always consistent and enjoyable, as is the friendliness of the staff. Everything is what you would hope for in a neighborhood bistro, nothing more, nothing less. Decor is rustic but comfortable, and in the summer there is seating outdoors in the... More

Was looking for some authentic Brasilian cooking and found it here in this cosy little restaurant in Kreuzberg. Ordered the Churrasquinho, which is simply a large metal skewer with juicy chunks of meat (chicken, pork, beef and sausage) served with garlic rice, brown beans, salad and farofa (manioc) I've been to Brasil three times and it tasted just like it... Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
