We went at lunch and found a selection of cheaper meals on the lunch menu, yet ate from the normal menu which was still cheap (around 10 euros for a main with rice). The curry was really tasty, and the staff were very helpful. One member of our group was gluten intolerant and they made every effort to ensure that... More

Love this place. The service and food are both excellent every time. The menu items I can vouch for so far: -Mango Lassi Cocktail - Lamb Vindaloo (I get it with chicken) - Garlic Naan When you ask for spicy, they actually make it spicy! Highly recommend!

Stopped here on a walk out from Gorky Apartments where we were staying. We were early so it wasn't busy but the staff were very welcoming and spoke perfect English which helped. We ordered starters and a main each with wine and the bill came to €41 . Food was very tasty and came out at a steady flow .I... More

Come hungry. And just keep eating! They do take the Berlin Welcome Card, but make sure you say you are using it when you order. I'd highly recommend the rose tea, if you've never had it before. The flavors in the food are exquisite and full of depth (no cheap short cuts with just throwing spices or peppers on food)... More

We went here with a discount card from our hotel. It was a bit out of our way but super easy to get to and so worth the effort! The service was great, food was hot and fast and delicious and we were completely stuffed when we left. It was delightful and I would return again and again!

I like Indian cuisine. I have been here with two friends, having Lamb banglori, Butter chicken, Duck in lemon-honey sauce. All really tasty, lamb well cooked, tender. Garlic naan delicious. Service great. Waitresses are polite and quick. Only bad thing is they have bit cheesy design (electric plastic candles, tree with small lights in summer) and terrace floor was bit... More

Indian is my favourite cuisine. I'm forever trying new places. I visited Berlin for a few days in early June with my family for my birthday & as the 'Birthday Girl', I got to choose where we went out to eat one of the nights! I Googled Indian restaurants in the area of Mitte, which is where we stayed, and... More

All wanted Indian food and found this restaurant close by with great reviews and wasn't disappointed. Loads to choose from and tasted very authentic. We sat out side and was really quick to be served and was very well priced.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
