I think the best for this restorant is the potato soup..it's creamy but not to oily, savory, and nice, even for Asian taste like me..the scenery outside the building is very nice..you can see the palace from the bridge that is located beside the building.

We walked from the Novotel in town, a 20 minute walk but very nice and worth doing, the location is superb and a great view of the river and interesting view. The food is great. The service is fine. We booked as we were a big group and there was a mix up and we waited outside for awhile, but... More

I have visited Alte Mainmuhle twice, once in 2012 and the second time in December 2016. First, I am a softy for fireplaces. This place has at least two, a wood burning stove just inside the entrance and a full fireplace at the back after you walk up the stairs. I just have a soft spot in my heart for... More

The restaurant is beautifully designed and has nice view over the old bridge and its surrounding. It is a quite romantic to dine there given the strategic location and ambience. However the food served by the restaurant was average and tasted more to the bland side (Have only ordered two dishes, one fish and another sausage platter). Maybe there are... More

Portions are huge (for Asians). I drank the pumpkin soup (very nice) and I couldn't eat anymore. The meat dumpling was good too (though some potato slices were burnt). Total was about 24 euros for a person. The service was lacking. I went there yesterday to ask about the michelin decal they had on the window. 2 staff didn't know... More

The food is fantastic. The service is great. the location is superb. Although the entrance is not large there are two full floors for seating. Both small groups and large can be accommodated. The kitchen specialises in local foods which are great. I highly recommend.

We had a nice dinner in this place. Food was typical local and the atmosphere just lovely. Location is lovely just by the river and I can imagine in summer this place must be just packed.

I went to eat here with a group of colleagues from work. The service was great, even though we were a lot of people we were all served at the same time and no one had to wait long for their food. They have a lot of meat choices but only few choices for vegetarians. I would not recommend you... More

This is a bustling restaurant at the eastern approach to the historic bridge across the Main. The food is good and very filling - good for a taste of Franconian food and wine - but make sure you have space for it all! For such a busy establishment, service was very good.

We went at night time and if you get a seat by the window you get the most wonderful view of the castle lit up at night, which is truly amazing. Now onto the food....I wish the pumpkin soup, which was on the specials, was on the menu year round, it was that amazing. I ordered the lamb sausage which... More
