My husband had the deer with bacon-wrapped green beans and potatoes. I had the venison liver salad and cream soup. Both were amazing. The meal came with bread and spread, which was also delicious. The restaurant is also owned by a family that own the winery, so large wine menu to peruse. Recommend doing the sample flights!

Really excellent local food and wine. Dinner for two adults and a child was very good value. Great, friendly service too.

We ate here for lunch which was selected by the river cruise we were with. The menu for the luncheon was already selected, bratwurst and sauerkraut and potatoes and soup and beer or wine and coffee or tea. The group was very large and service was prompt and the staff very friendly.

The view of the street from our window was magical. On Friday evening there was a busker playing classical music and Christmas carols next to a Christmas tree right across the road from us and we could hear him while we watched the sun set over the old rooftops. The breakfast at the Glocke was a wonderful start to the... More

This is a good place for some traditional german food at a reasonable price. We visited with a large group and were surprised how efficient the kitchen and wait staff were at handling the rush. The good overall was pretty good.

Lunch was part of our walking tour of this quintessentially charming town. Potato soup, bratwurst and sauerkraut and apple strudel-all delicious! Everything fresh and service was warm and welcoming in a captivating atmosphere.

Our tour group stopped here for lunch-potato soup, brats, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, and apple strudel with wine, beer, or other beverage options. Very friendly staff, good food, great atmosphere. Glad Viking picked Glocke to feed us!

We stopped specifically at the Cafe Glocke because of TA mentioning the 5-wines for one fee tasting. We had ten, five whites and five reds (all from their vineyards in the region) and added to the wines the camembert baked with cranberries. We had a lovely break on a very rainy afternoon. But, it would have tasted great no matter... More

Enjoyed the potato soup and sausage platter with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes, followed by apple strudel with warm vanilla sauce. Fresh, local and authentic.

Really good comfort food in generous portions at cheap prices. My wife raved about the venison for days. A couple of nights earlier we ate a very good meal at an upscale restaurant in France for 6 times the cost of our meal at Glocke but the meal was not 6 times better than the food at Glocke. Different types... More
