Staying in Munich for 2 nights I visited the restaurant 2 nights in a row.
For the first night, Not only was it close to my hotel but it was late by the time I had reached Munich plus I love Greek food. The restaurant was cosy and played lovely Greek music.
None of the staff except one spoke English although I managed my way through plus they were polite, attentive and prompt.
Once seated they offer a complimentary bread basket and a shot of Ouzo while you check on the menu.
I ordered for the traditional Mezze platter (Cold €7.7) while they had both cold and hot option. It was delicious. However I surprised the next day as I ordered the same but from the starter selection (price €13.3) and it was exact the same portion size except for a larger platter style plate and 2 additional stuffed Vine leaves with rice. Anyways I had no explanation to that especially with the language barrier although I got offered 2 glasses of ouzo shot on the house which I guess was due to this fact or may be as I came 2 days in a row.
Other dishes I ordered Grill fish platter (day 1) and No 80 grill meat platter (day 2), these are both served with side platter of salad and one with Potato where as the meat with rice. Not only were the dishes scrumptious but also a generous portion size.
They also offer Greek yoghurt with stewed carrot as dessert, which is in the house but strange enough this wasn’t offered in day 2. Nevertheless I had no space after the meat course and hence didn’t bother to ask.
Most certainly a restaurant I shall visit again on my trip to Munich.

Very warm and friendly service and staff that makes you want to return. Food is excellent and they have an incredible selection and variety of food. Highly recommend! A beautiful gem in Munich city.

Real Greek food! Absolutely delicious. I’d recommend visiting on an empty stomach as you’ll be very full up from your meal.

I can’t believe that this place is so high rated. The food was bad and the service even worse. We had the owner of the restaurant shouting at us just instead of a nice apology. I never experienced such a rude host, not even our small toddler could stop his rudeness. If you appreciate good food and service just cut this place out of your list and do it NOW!!!

Food was Ok at best but overpriced. Service was poor. There are many other better options in the city center.

Great tzatziki and paros teller, the lunch portion is plentiful but the normal portions are huge, although difference from about 8-9 to 15-16 euros each (lunch vs normal menu) . Overall would come back!

The food was great ! But The service ... awful... The waiter was too aggressive. He forced us to leave while we had drink on the table ... I’m not gonna come back !!!!

I used to love Greek food, but after several disappointing experience near my home, I had ... given up. Thinking that the fancy for the Greek delicacies was a passed fad from the eighties, I thought that I would no longer look for this fare.
Was I wrong!
Poseidon in Munich tought me a lesson.
My sister - who is a regular at this restaurant - took me there for Easter lunch.
We had Goat and it was a revelation.
Apart from the culinary hightlight - we were able to sit outside, the service was attentive and swift. The price was - considering we were in Munich - surprisingly adequate.
Definitely THE place to go (you may want to maake a reservation)

I liked this place a lot - great fast service, bread and ouzo appearing out of nowhere, a lovely aperol spritz, a substantial Greek salad and I had 6 delicious lamb chops not the advertised 5! They had no problem swapping my rice for chips. My only criticism is that, personally, I would have liked more garlic in the tzatziki but I realise that’s not to everyone’s taste!

This is a very popular Greek restaurant in the suburbs. We took the precaution of booking on Saturday night, a good move as the place was rammed. The menu is extensive and typically Greek. Service was prompt and cheerful. My only criticism, and this is a positive, is that the portions were absolutely enormous!

After a couple of weeks of traditional German food my wife and I needed something different. This restaurant was close to our hotel so we gave it a go. Food was good, nice clean flavours, good portion size and free ouzo and honey yoghurt. We can happily recommend this place!

Poseidon was recommended to us by our hotel ( the unbeatable Laimer Hof). It was Saturday night and very busy. Service was friendly but a little chaotic. The pictures on TA show you what you can expect which is plentiful attractive good food. My wife actually got something different to what she has ordered, the staff argued she had ordered the dish and when the bill arrived it confirmed my wife's order which was cheaper.
Fish plate from the grill was particularly good.

The waiter seemed constantly in a rush, but I think that was part of his Greek persona. The food was average, tasted all the same really. The wine was good. It was reasonably priced and the service, although impatient, was good.
The atmosphere was a real German / Greek mix which was weird, but I guess that what happens when you eat Greek in Germany!
Reasonably priced, and child friendly.
