Decided to ho here because they made their own beers. They have a changing monthly special on draft. This month the blond ale and stout is the special. We had the blonde ale, pils and Hefe Weizen, which all tasted very good. Food is traditional. We had "schäufele" and eisbein, tasted good. Service was very friendly and forth coming. Atmosphere... Knoepfle Freiburg Style was too much for a main course. Would have been awesome as a side with some wuerstchen.

Great food and even better beer! Service was quick and staff friendly. Seems like a really popular place but managed to get a last minute table.

Staff was very annoying, disrespectful, unfriendly. Dishes were average. Atmosphere is also unfriendly. They do their own beer and they are nice.

I thought this visit a little disappointing, having been there a few times over the years. Beer is still good, but food was fairly average and portions were a little small. Worst of all, they didn't seem to have any goulasch. Hopefully this omission has now been rectified!

The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the service was friendly. My husband enjoyed his beer and Maultaschen(raviolis). I had the Schweinshaxe (pork, dumpling, sauerkraut). I didn't care for the dumplings, but the gravy was delicious.

I think this is the worst German meal we have ever had: the place itself is cute and perfectly located; however, it is rather intended for tourists. Dishes are way smaller than in other local restaurants, quality of the food is average, and the service is just not good. Advisable if you want to grab a quick beer in the... More

This place is a haven for students and locals and for good reason with its great beers and good food at decent prices. Wurst is of course on offer and very good they were too. Limited dessert menu but yummy nonetheless

You find here what German food culture is all about. The house made spätzle are fantastic. During winter time the Venison Goulash with red cabbage works with the Weihnachtsbier (Christmas beer). If your a group of people away from 20 you can have a whole suckling pig. But even just for one the Pork nuckle is fantastic. You can watch the chefs... More

The beer is very good and they have a great selection. You can have a lot of typical southern German Food. You will get everything you'd expect in a Brewery.
