The cafe is fancy shmancy. The cakes are exquisite. The Black Forest cake was good but I expected more. Had a crust cookie on the bottom which I found unfaithful to the recipe. The chocolate cream was superb but the white cream was either tainted with some flavor or off. Since I doubt it was off the flavoring was peculiar.... More

This is the place to go for a beautiful piece of cake and coffee. Also lovely packages of chocolate and cookies to take home.

They say when you come to the Black Forest you must try the original Black Forest cake. In the town of Baden Baden lies an institution that is legendary in their cakes and pastries. Next to Cafe Koenig is their Patisserie where you will be surrounded by their delicious chocolates, sweets, macarons, cakes n pastries. You can choose to take... More

You can't come to Baden Baden and not come to this magnificent cafe. Dripping with style and history and smothered with fabulous pastries and delicacies. A sumptuous experience for the eyes and taste buds. Highly recmmended.

I had high expectations going here, but the desserts were just okay. It wasn't anything special to us. It was pretty expensive as well.

Lovely, cozy cafe. Amazing service and excellent food (stinky Brie - always a good sign). Wait staff is tourist-friendly and speaks English but not a tourist trap or overly filled with tourists. No reservations needed and just find your own table. Entire "grosses fruhstuck" for ~€15. Highly recommended.

The restaurant is fun and the Irish coffee was good but we didn't like that when you're seated you can only order drinks and not food. We would have had to go stand in the long line to purchase food to bring back to our table.

We were passing by Baden Baden and we were looking for somewhere to drink a coffee or have a snack. When we sat, we decided to have a proper lunch and we didn' t regret it! Excellent schnitzel, baked potato with sour cream and meat soup. Aristocratic atmosfere and polite service.

It’s a lovely café in the city center, very well bedecked with small paintings and beautiful lamps. The colour of the light cast by the latter keeps up with that of the curtains - both window and inner ones -, the table cloths and the walls thus forming altogether a harmonious ensemble. There one can have a hot drink mainly... More

Great stop for coffee and cake. Busy traditional coffee shop in the centre of Baden-Baden, great for resting your feet.
