First time I write a review that bad but I fell compelled to say that the service is terrible. We had to wait for more than one hour for our "plat du jour" and we did not receive any apology. The ratatouille was as cold as snow and the food not worth its price and waiting time. If you want... More

Very good place for lunches while skiing. Good staff and good food for a reasonnable price ( in Megève) , Nice terrace with a splendid view and facing the sun.

First time in Megeve (or in France for that matter) the staff of a restaurant wad rude. We asked for a table of two and the owner (?) not only told us that "he can't help us with that because there is a waiting line of 30 minutes so we should leave" but also the outside seating of the restaurant... We gave his place a try following seeing the reviews. I echo the 'Poor service comments' yet I would be more specific in 'Slow service' purely driven by how busy they were. I mark this as 5 stars as the quality was excellent, price very competitive and location spot on. It's located next to a chair lift to help you... More

We popped in here for morning coffee and a cold but sunny day. We asked if we could take our coffee inside and were warmly welcomed and then abruptly for gotten. We waited sometime whilst waiters rushed in and out serving people outside until the girl making the coffee realised we hadn't been served and called over to us to... More

Interesting menu but the smallest item available was the soup, complete with croutons, bread and grated cheese and over-priced at 15 euros. Excellent food and service but a place to avoid if you want to ski again after eating!

I was thinking....you can't "Discover" Javens by accident. You have to go there, and when you find it, it won't disappoint. Whether you're looking for a quick-stop or a proper French Lunch.

Found this place in a white out on our first day skiing. It's simple typical Savoyarde food but it had a warm buzz and - well - we were hungry! Everyone was enjoying lunch, their food looked fantastic (for this sort of thing) and whilst we should have read the menu, the first special - a whole baked Vacherin Mont... More

Stopped here for a late lunch on a Sunday whilst skiing. It was very busy and the wait staff were rushing about. Found a table and waited. Took a while but not because we were being ignored - just volume of traffic. The weather was lovely and we just sat and admired the view. Food was excellent and very large... More

We popped in a couple of times as it was a convenient half hour walk from our apartment. Same kind of menu as winter, but more comfortable sitting outside.. The wonderful steak we had in winter had somehow been replaced by shoe leather. A pity. On some evenings there is free band concert, so you can just sit on the... More
