Not an exciting restaurant -- food is standard, almost stereotypical, French food that was of similar quality to wedding reception fare. Not to recommend if you are a visitor to Lyon.

Our group of 4 foodies we're looking forward to Paul Bocuse Bistro Le Sud in Lyon. We made the cardinal error of ordering the plat de jour menu which here is available at dinner as well as lunch. The entrees arrived within 2 minutes of...More

A Paul Bocusse restaurant. Good attentive service. Slightly expensive for what it offers, mitigated by ordering a set fixed menu. Airy location overlooking Place Bellecour. Nice selection of 1/2 and full bottles.

We had no reservation but were told that they could give as a table in 15 minutes. Which they did. Full control in a crowded and busy restaurant. The duck breast and the hake were excellent. We will come again.

Our first mistake was listening to locals who highly recommended this Paul Bocuse brasserie, instead of using Trip Advisor's ratings! Le Sud was a big disappointment. Unseasoned dishes, over cooked chicken, a waiter who forgot about us for 45 minutes at a time. Overall a...More
