Had booked this restaurant in advance, as wanted to ensure a booking on a Monday night when quite a few restaurants are closed. Had read the varied reviews on Trip Advisor and felt worth a try. Regrettably the whole experience was underwhelming. Once we were seated we waited a while for a menu & then a long while before our... More

Main course 1: The selected sole (on the daily menue and we were there at 7pm) not available so they recommended Sea Bass. The fish was prepared taking way to long to de-bone it, became coldish. The fish was very dry, not `a point` and my spouse had to order the sauce normally served to the aspargus. Main course 2:... More

Part of the Bocuse empire, this charming, traditional, restaurant maintains an excellent quality. (Le Nord is a traditional French Restaurant, other points of the compass have different specialities, so one takes one's choice of international cuisine). We ordered from the menu déjeuner at 23,10€ and, with a pot of macon each, the bill came to 35€ which is an excellent... More

Visited on a busy Saturday evening, our booking was early 7.30 but the queues were already forming behind us. Good and attentive service overall but you were in no doubt that all the staff were under pressure. Prices very reasonable. Lovely place but would benefit from a personal touch. I would recommend.

I've been living in Lyon for nearly a year now & this is the best dining experience that I have had so far. The food was excellent, the suggested wine outstanding & our waiter absolutely charming (in 4 languages)

Not a small quaint french bistro but food is high quality and tasted good. I was taken aback when I entered because I was expecting a more authentic environment since this restaurant was recommended by a concierge in a 5 /star hotel. Instead you immediately feel the hustle and bustle and the commercial aspects of the place - not a... More

Lunch or dinner (we did both) are wonderful in this smallish, friendly brasserie. The best escargot I've ever eaten - and I've downed them snails everywhere! The service is kind, the food is typically Lyonnaise - be brave and order something unusual. Highly recommended.

Menu chenged according season, typical french cousine prepared in excellent way. Service fast-moving and kind. In my opinion it's impossible to be disappointed or to get a bad experience after visiting Le Nord: this brasserie can be recommended without any risk! Prices are OK considering quality of food and preparation efforts.

Amazing food! I have eaten here many times, and it is always very nice food. Correct and gentle service. The steak is amazing but what is the absolute best of it all, it is the queen of dessert, the crème brûlée!!! It was fluffy and tasted like heaven! It is almost to much to have a 3 course meal here.... More

I had a lunch menu in December. I lived in Lyon for 10 years and I was very happy to have a lunch back in Le Nord. It is a typical French - lyonnais ambiance. The service is great but might be a bit slow in the rush time. Better book. Food is typical, good quality products.
