We ate here 2 out of the 3 nights we were in Lyon, we found the staff friendly and helpful even though they were rushed off their feet on both nights. We had burgers and baked potatoes with bacon and cheese, simply delicious. Guinness is drinkable. Downstairs is more relaxing and cosy. Johnny's Kitchen is a good Irish pub and... More

Went to Johnnys Kitchen to grab some food and watch some of the European Championship games. Lovely burger and good selection of beer. Staff very friendly if not a bit tired. But who could blame them with the amount of beer served over the days when Ireland came to town. Will return.

The place is great, fun waiters, good atmosphere. But Johnny's kitchen was my favorite place for burgers, it is sadly not anymore. Not because they raised the prices by 1/1,5 euros, it was cheap before, now it s just normal, (still cheap to pay 12euros for burger and fries I guess). But simply because as many people i m sure... The young, Irish bar maid was pleasant and welcomingly chatty, but she served me a pint of Guineas with at least an inch of head on it. This was corrected at my request but she had to be shown how to use the Guineas tap to pour properly, despite having worked there for 5 months... Then, when I finally got... More

Usually I don't make comments but this time I have to: this is clearly the worst pub on "Vieux Lyon" district! I paid for something that even free I would not accept: poorly drawn beer and the cuisine that seems to be rationed for a guerrilla warfare. They served to my friend two times a burguer that he didn't asked... More

This is the perfect place to go for some simple tasty food. The place livens up into a pub atmosphere after food service is finished, and much like some ofthe other reviews have stated, you can find yourself staying here for more or less a whole day as they are so accommodating. Plenty of events on such as quizzes, and... More

Great atmosphere with friendly staff (English and French speaking) and great entertainment (Eric is the best!). Best burgers in Lyon, though they come very pink so do ask if you want them better cooked. Favourite combo was goats cheese and honey caramelised onions, soooo tasty! Great place to meet new people - when I moved to Lyon I spent time... More

This January I made my sixth trip to Lyon in the past year. It was late and I was looking for something approaching comfort food and also didn't want to have to speak French. I made my way to Vieux Lyon where I have enjoyed a couple of Irish Pubs. I decided to strike out and try a new one.... More

Went along because it was the only place in town showing the All-Ireland. Found out it was one of those pubs that are impossible to leave. After the match an irish music session swung into action (pipes, flutes, fiddles, I mean the works).Just after that they started serving food which was as good as you'll get anywhere. Next thing I... Johnny's Kitchen is an Irish pub and restaurant in the heart of Old Lyon. We the Irish staff and owners pride ourselves on providing the best of service and "craic" to our customers. Our food is made fresh by our chefs every morning with locally sourced ingredients (gourmet burgers, jacket potatoes, tapas, steaks). We have a huge selection of draught and bottled beers along with our whiskey cellar and cocktail list. Our pub is the headquarters of the Franco-Irish Association of Lyon and is proud to sponsor the "Lugs" gaelic football team. We show all your favourite sports on our big screen, including Hurling, gaelic football, NFL, golf, soccer and rugby. There is always something on in the Kitchen with Quizzes, concerts and theme evenings 7/7. French/English spoken.
