Don't be put off by the title of the review, albeit we felt we were being rushed the food was lovely. Make sure you book a table as it fills up quickly, we did book via the internet and had a confirmation which we fortunately...More

We've been looking for a good Bouchon in Lyon but suspicious of potential tourist traps in the old town, and also wanted something with a broader menu as someone in our party doesn't eat red meat - a challenge for a Bouchon! This place was...More

I was back au Poelon d'Or in June 2017, as I find it is the best place in Lyon to try Lyon food and especially a Quenelle! Quenelle, saucisson chaud were excellent. Do save some space for dessert or a St Marcellin cheese! Highly recommended

Good traditional local dishes served in a very cosy environment. Not much attention is given to details. They serve you pretty fast and expect you to order in the same manner..which is not very fair for the foreigners. Food is OK but I would not...More

We ate inside the restaurant and the atmosphere was very friendly. The duck & orange salad was great & we all had the Onglet de boeuf which was tender & full of flavour.

This is a place that is maybe suffering from being a bit of a tourist trap. I thought the food was OK, but nothing great. It's cooked to a stereo type. My beef was really very bad. My partner tried the sausage which was much...More

We're confused that you compare our Lyonnaise Cuisine to a colleague who proposes gastronomic cuisine. We're are not a Restaurant Gastronomic but a BOUCHON LYONNAIS. You do not seem to have understood the meaning, and the history of our cooking and, we are sorry that...More

We had an outstanding lunch! Excellent, traditional Lyonaise dishes that were well-prepared and nicely presented. The crowd was almost entirely locals. Close to the Musee des Tissues.

If I were to form a Monday night club, where friends and visitors would socialize and enjoy excellent food, this would be my recommended permanent venue. The food is consistently excellent, the service first class, and the ambiance very amenable. I chose the set menu...More

A very pleasant environment with very friendly service. Easily located close to the Rhone river. Very Lyonnais menu: an outstanding salad with juicy lardons et a perfectly cooked egg. Also the quenelle and the ravioles were really good!

The food wasn't bad but nothing special. Starters were good, mains small and boring and the deserts almost felt bought. The environment was nice but I would personally not recommend the restaurant.More

We are sorry that do not know how to us appreciate our cooking of Lyon. It is about a simple and home-made cooking. Our desserts are home-made, and it is a real pity that your papillae did not know how to recognize them :-) !...More
