For a 1-star Michelin restaurant it is exactly what's expected: good formule, attentive and flexible service ( we had 2 hours for a dinner meal and the service as able to advise exactly the right mix & number of courses - we had the check at 1:50m) cheese selection looked a bit stale, desserts were very good. Nothing extraordinary but... More

informal atmosphere like in the hotel, and focus on quality of dishes, rather than on presentation. our 3 children got a tour in the kitchen, which was very organised and clean (early in the shift). waiters are great, and we loved everything, particularly the amuses. very good value, all spot on.

We were treated with a four course extravaganza. All of the food was amazing. My favorite was the avocado + crab + shrimp dish, it will be in my memory for a very long time. After 4 courses, I was very, very full. I wish I had come hungrier (my fault). The service was impeccable too. I was a little... More

A real treat and a memorable lunch for 19e. The venue seems unpromising from the outside, but the cooking is excellent and the service very good indeed. As previous reviewers have remarked, you get so much more than a set main course and dessert (a choice from the main menu). The staff speak excellent English too (Kevin used to work... More

We had dinner, the 4 course degustation, and the 3 wines. Every course and every wine was an experience. One of the great meals of our lives, having dined well on all continents except Antarctica. The staff were very attentive , friendly and generous. Worth returning to Chamonix just to eat here again! We wouldn't stay in any other hotel... More

Le Bistrot is a cozy little restaurant set on the ground floor of Le Morgane hotel. My girlfriend and I enjoyed a very nice evening meal here where I ate from the taster menu (option to choose from 4-6 dishes I think it was) and she chose from the a la carte. Both of our meals were expertly prepared, full... More

We asked our walking guide (Teresa Kaufman) where the locals ate and she recommended we came here for lunch. It doesnt look much from the outside, a modern building with net curtains to obscure the view and a small blackboard outside with today's special handwritten but inside it's such a treat. The staff take your coats and are very friendly... More

There are many places you can go for a cheap lunch in Chamonix, and only a few are Michelin-starred. This is most definitely my favorite. An amuse Bouche, Starter, main course, pudding, petite fours and coffee for only €19 (about £16) For 2 of us having lunch, 2 lemonades and a jug of Water the bill was only €46. Simply... More

I do not understand the obsession of foam with every course. Over priced for dinner and over rated. The taster menu was reasonably priced although not to my taste, so I chose from the a la carte big mistake. Would not recommend. Should have realised when I saw how empty the restaurant was on a weekend.

You can not beat this deal really for the quality of the food. It is €19 euro for 2 courses at lunch time. There was only one choice on the menu for the main, but you could choose any desert as part of the deal (usually€14 euro for desert). It was amazing. We were topped up by endless amounts of... More
