For an early pre ski breakfast, head over to Extreme Cafe for a great coffee and a delicious nutella bagel! This got us ready for a great day of skiing and is centrally located in town so very accessible.

This is self-service cafe. You order and pay at the counter, and carry food to your table outside. It was nice sitting outside in a nice warm afternoon with view. The sandwich was cheap, speciality coffees weren't that cheap.

I go to this café all the time when I go to Chamonix. Its right in the heart of Chamonix with great views of Mont Blanc, and a perfect place to sit and watch the skiers/climbers/walkers head to and from the mountains. If the sun is out, there are very little places better to chill out with a Mont Blanc... More

i go here specifically for the coffee frappes and milkshakes so I am a bit biased. Not cheap but delicious coffee drinks on the go or outside their patio. They also serve sandwiches and baked goods, but I have never had them personally. It may take a few minutes to get your coffee, but this is France and the owners... More

We love this place. The couple who run the place are super-nice, fun people. Everything is handmade by them, the wines are some of the best you can get on the pedestrian street in Chamonix, and - well - they have beer! And crepes! And coffee. The location is in the very centre of the town. Everyone going through the... More

Went to the Extreme Cafe on the spur of the moment for a quick bite to eat. Excellent location on the main square. We had a couple of orange juices ( freshly pressed) a cheese and ham baguette, a couple of hot chocolates and a plain crepe. The orange juice was good, as was the baguette however the hot chocolates... More

This is our regular stop for breakfast and afternoon break. The coffee is fab and we really enjoyed their waffles in sugar. The location is perfect for people watching and admiring the beauty of Chamonix.

Good food, nice service. Worth a try. Vegetarians can try their onion soup. Quite good. The ambiance is soothing.
