For the cuisine, the starters and dishes are of an excellent level: fresh products, knowing how to combine crunchiness and fondness, colors, textures, cooking, taste, in fairly generous plates. Located right on the harbor in the "restaurant mile," this restaurant scores with friendly service and a good selection of dishes. The carpaccio was delicious, but the €20 price tag was a bit ambitious! The excellently grilled swordfish steak with risotto was better! Wonderfully grilled to perfection and juicy! The risotto was also as it should be!
Conclusion: Absolutely recommended!

The room is finely decorated while remaining warm, and the service is attentive.

Well-crafted quality products, from starters to desserts and main courses. A slight downside to the semi-cooked tuna, which could have been slightly less cooked for my taste, but completely offset by the excellent black and creamy rice served as an accompaniment.

The canteen was an excellent restaurant until recently.
I order Provençal gratinated mussels + a glass of rosé
The rosé was not bad but rough.
The mussels arrive but not browned. The contents were a sort of barely warm molasses with mint in it, which is a first
in Provençal cuisine.
In short, in summary, the chef of the canteen had to change because the chef no longer knows how to make classic mussels.

Great evening in a lovely setting, food was really nice throughout, service was touch-and-go with 4 waiters serving us throughout the evening - some very pleasant and some not. Overall, a very nice evening. Highlight of the evening were the Ceviche and the Spaghetti à la Poutargue

Beautiful table on the Quai Estienne d'Orves! A warm welcome, a beautiful storefront and large terrace, a tempting menu! This is enough to make us want to go further and taste the Cantine's cuisine. Well-prepared dishes, fresh and good products. A service provided by tradespeople who know their work! It's becoming rare because sometimes we deal with soft people who don't understand anything. For an extensive lunch this restaurant taken, and we really liked this! Very friendly service with a touch of humour. We ordered sea bass, squid and a vegetarian dish. Everything was prepared very tastefully. The desserts were also original (I had a lemon mousse with chestnut syrup and a scoop of vanilla ice cream). This place is a gem among all the other very tourist-oriented restaurants. Good reviews are justified!

Friendly welcome while remaining very professional. Beautiful menu with daily suggestions (fish and meat). I caught the fish of the day, swordfish. Succulent and beautiful presentation.
Nice choice of wines by the glass.

My sister and I were in Marseille for a few days and randomly found this place. It’s small and cozy- maybe 10 tables. We didn’t have a reservation but they sat us immediately and very kindly accommodated us not being able to speak French. We had the Lemon Ricotta Ravioli (daily special) and the Calamari with wine + tiramisu. All reasonably priced and very excellent. Couldn’t recommend this place more.

Good food of course but also friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. All were perfect! They can serve you seafood, pork, sweets and good wine. I had grilled white fish, it was decent and tasty. My colleague had pork which looked also great.
What I really liked was the dessert. Cheese with fig jam. I didn’t expect cheese as dessert but it really was delicious dessert!
We went there right after the restaurant opened. It became full in an hour and continued till late. Looks like a popular place. It may be better to book in advance in busy season or some business conference is taking place.

We found this little restaurant on trip advisor. If it has been possible to give more starts, I would do it. The sevice was perfect. The lady knew, what she is doing, how she should do it and when it is the right time to bring next dish/ ask if we need sth or just simply check if everything is alright. Food was marvelous, tender and in a right amount. We were always informed, what is inside and how it was prepared. I can just recommend them further.
The place is also lovely and designed with good taste. We loved it!

Good establishment , the squids ordered was good, missing only lemon that we asked for and that was brought to us quite quickly.

Very good, tasty cuisine. Very good value for money.
The servers are all very friendly, welcoming and professional. And let's be very patient because there was 1 table of 4 people including 1 woman who was too drunk and who disturbed everyone around her with her exclamations and spoke much too loudly. Ridiculous. Not easy to manage and the restaurant is in no way responsible for that.
