We came here a couple of times during a week long stay in Marseille as it was convenient to the hotel across the street and they could accommodate us without having reservations. We had several excellent dishes and recommend any of the fish dishes on the menu. Our limited French was not a barrier to having a good meal and great wine.

Following our visit to Marseille to watch the Marseille-Toulouse match, 8 of us arrived to eat after the match, without reservation! Great welcome! Very good value for money ! The setting and decoration are top notch! Pizzas to die for! Beautiful address!

Some locals pointed us in the direction of this place and we liked it so much we went back the next day. The red tuna dish was fabulous as was the cuttlefish and squid. By all means try the pizzas (which looked great) but when you’re in France and by a port, why wouldn’t you try the seafood?
I’d absolutely eat here again and it’s a perfect location to get to the stadium afterwards.
It’s very busy so best to book but they really are skilled at getting people in.

My wife and I gave this restaurant a try after it was strongly recommended by the hotel staff where we were staying.
I think the tone was set when we showed up at the restaurant. The greeting employee wanted us to sit outside and we were interested in sitting inside, where it was a bit cooler. While there was no one sitting inside, the table they gave us was next to the
'line', i.e. area where the server picks up their orders. Not exactly the area where we wanted to sit so we requested a change to an outside table. The whole vibe from the person who greeted us at the restaurant and ended up sitting us seemed a bit dismissive.
Anyhow we were seated, asked for the type of water we wanted and provided menus that were only in French. As this was only the second day of our French vacation and we spoke no French, I requested 'no gas or tap water' which of course resulted in a 7 euro bottle placed on our table, opened and poured. At that point I had yet to master how to receive 'free' water.
Pro-tip: Because of this experience, I was instructed by the hotel staff when requesting water at restaurants to just say 'free' or 'carafe' and you receive free water.
Anyhow, ordering was an ordeal due to our language limitations. Fortunately, the restaurant actually had one server who spoke really good English. Unfortunately for us, aside from assisting us with placing our initial order, this server was never sent back to us to see what, if anything, she could do to assist.
My wife ordered a salad, which she really enjoyed. I ordered a seafood soup like meal which was decent but nothing great.
Not the restaurant's fault but customers seated outside freely smoke cirgarettes, which both my wife and I really dislike.
The combination of the 'attitude', decent meal but nothing spectacular, various people sitting next to us smoking and the general higher price of items on the menu lead to a just o.k. restaurant experience.
I am pretty sure if we spoke manageable French, our experience would have been better.
Perhaps we expected too much? Not sure, but this restaurant dinner experience was just o.k.

We would like to assure you that we do our best to satisfy our customers and respond to all their requests.
Usually, we have no problem understanding thanks to the technological tools that allow us to translate. However, we understand that the language barrier may cause some misunderstandings.
Particularly regarding water, the only solution for us, knowing that you did not want sparkling water or tap water, was to offer you a bottle of water.

The terrace is very nice. The service is unprofessional and the dish I took, the cuttlefish supposed to be parched were not really. The dressing did not exist, the side salad served in a small metal strainer (ideal for fries but not for a salad) had taken a heat stroke.
What marks me most about this experience is the price of the aperitif: 14€ a gin and tonic. After claim, I was told that there is no gin and tonic à la carte, so I am charged 2 consos! If the waitress had warned me, I would have changed my order. Aperitif for which it was necessary to request a little accompaniment, if not I would have had nothing...
Having been a restaurant manager long enough, and going to the restaurant regularly, I can say that the whole service is not equivalent to the price charged.

Very good experience for this neighborhood restaurant: The plates are copious with a nice accompaniment. I chose a prime rib of beef accompanied by fries and a delicious salad with a pretty presentation. The wine chosen is a Château Minuty.
The service provided by two ladies is efficient and smiling.

The food was average and expensive for what you get. It is a very busy restaurant, almost chaotic. Management is extremely rude towards staff as well guests. The manager shouted at staff in sight of the guests. We did not have a pleasant experience whatsoever and will not recommend this restaurant.

Rugby World Cup day and this restaurant was jam packed with rugby supporters. The service was fast, friendly and efficient m, the food was great and the ambience fun. It really is a garden in the city - a hidden gem near the vélodrome. Highly recommend.

From an unwelcoming owner to a waitress that forgot half our orders and food that was almost inedible it was a disaster from start to finish. The first pizza was so undercooked you couldn’t tell the difference between the dough and the cheese and the second pizza was totally burnt around the edges. The tuna was so over cooked it looked like it came out of a tin, and the fried squid was greasy and clearly reheated. The waitress didn’t take notes and forgot half our orders, it took three reminders to get some water and the correct drinks. The cutlery and glasses were dirty and the tables were sticky. Top it all off with some tasteless jokes by the waitress and the owner who was pacing the restaurant whilst talking on the phone, needless to say we won’t be coming back. If you eat here it’s not bon appétit, it’s bonne chance!

Nous nous demandons si vous ne vous êtes pas trompé de restaurant ?😂
Plus sérieusement il semble que la pizza effectivement manquait de cuisson à votre goût nous vous avons proposé de la refaire vous avez refusé , en partant et en réglant me monsieur vous nous a dit que tout c’etait Très bien passé alors il semble soit que vous ayez été la seule à ne pas avoir apprécié ou alors que vous préfériez vous cacher derrière un ordinateur pour déverser cela , c’est dommage car nous travaillons uniquement des produits frais et si un met ne vous convenait pas nous vous aurions volontiers proposé autre chose encore fallait il le savoir ....
Heureusement que nous ne nous montrons pas aussi intransigeant car vous avez réservé pour 10 et êtes arrivés à 4!
Dernière chose que nous n’apprécions pas c’est le fait que vous mentiez en disant que les verres et tables étaient sales nous servons quotidiennement de nombreux clients sans prétention aucune dont la plupart reviennent plusieurs fois par semaine pour le cadre et la qualité de notre cuisine et je nettoie et vérifie personnellement la mise en place avant chaque début de service sans doute la sueur du à la chaleur qui vous a fait coller aux chaises mais certainement pas un manque de propreté
Et pour finir à marseille on parle un peu fort ça fait partie de notre nature désolée que vous ayez été offusqué
Nous vous souhaitons néanmoins un bel été et sommes heureux de rendre heureux nos autres clients !

This restaurant is well worth the visit. The products are fresh and the chef is clearly talented. An agreeable menu with interested combinations of food. Whilst there is pizza a common product it is delicious. The bread and doe is baked on site and all dishes prepared based on orders. It is great to eat food in his way and one clearly notices the difference from preprepared food. The restaurant is reasonably priced. The interior is basic and one could imagine one is in a new trendy district like Batignolles in Paris with the simple but delicious brasseries. Worth the visit with friendly waiters like Jerome a real professional caring about his clients. Will definitely return.

We were staying across the street and having had a good experience with the other local restaurant (La Table du 8eme) gave this place a go. It's an appealing looking place in a courtyard off the street, quite a bonus if you've been in Marseille's traffic all day. Although the place was only half full, we were waiting a very long time to even be offered a menu and when she did come, our server seemed to have confused 'efficient' with 'brusque'.
My linguine alla vongole had the tell-tale signs of having been sitting under the warmer for a while (scorching plate, dried out on top) and we had to ask and wait a while for some water.
