If you are not French then please save yourself the indignity of this place. I have never met such rude and arrogant waiters in all my life.

So wife and I took a stroll around the old dock and a nice place it was too. Feeling hungry we piled into La Samaritaine, what a superb location and the menu boasts of a long proud history serving artists, poets and politicians. Had we read the other reviews on here then we might have been prepared for the miserable,... More

If I'd bothered to check on here I would have gone elsewhere...but just like you, I was passing and thirsty. It looks really nice and it's just by the port so you can watch the passing show. You take a seat and some waiters who clearly can't be @rsed to do their job take a casual glance around once every... More

While it has a prime spot with great views of the old port, that is about all it has going for it. We had lunch here, and the meal was horrible. The service was terrible. We asked for the Internet password and he took forever to bring it, than finally my partner went up to get it and if it... More

The restaurant seemed to have a mix of tourists and locals with locals being the larger number of customers. We took this as a good sign. The coffee drinkers in our group seemed very pleased. The croissants were the freshest and most delicious we have ever had and the drinks were served quickly. Service was very efficient and pleasant. It... More

My group visited this restaurant for drinks on a visit to the Old Port. The outside seating overlooks the harbour and is a pleasant place to relax in the sun. The service was good and the prices reasonable. WE would certainly visit again if in Marseilles.

Called for drinks only. very rude staff who short changed us. The serving waiter disappeared with our change. Only a small amount but it was the principle. Please do not visit.

Stopped by for a light breakfast and coffee as it looked charming and was in a great location. Prices were reasonable given that it is right on the old port, and the food menu was inviting, however the service was a big let down. We politely attempted to order in what little French we do speak (competent enough to be... More

Had a HotDog and my friend had a ham and cheese baguette, nice food shame about the waiter who was miserable, despite that food was nice and reasonably priced. Nice view of the port here. The place has a lot of potential but maybe they were rushed off there feet with the England fans that were in there.
