Good value for money and really popular among local people. If you're into a French Lunch just stop in here. Service is not extraordinary nor is the food, but still ... worth to try.

Mostly locals visiting it, the staff is friendly. Amazing, traditional french food at a more than affordable price.

Within the Old City, hidden between boutiques and food stores, this little rustic restaurant opened only for lunch and always crowded (booking a table is mandatory) is probably the last surviving authentic bistrot of Nice. Enjoy the simple, rustic and tasteful food that attracts so many local clients. We tasted the excellent beignets de aubergine, a generous portion of red... More

We've been eating here for about 10 years on our frequent visits to Nice. It never disappoints. Lovely home cooked nicoise food. Sausages and lentils today. Brilliant atmosphere. Friendly staff and clientele. We are always made to feel welcome.

Fell on the Cafe/ restaurant while rambling through the narrow streets of the,Vieille Ville in Nice. They were out of the plat du jour which drew us in but it looked lively and we decided to stay, gladly. Food good, felt like a locals spot. Would defimitely go back

My mum found this well reviewed on TA, so we thought we'd give it a go. We were not disappointed! €14 for a 3 course meal including a free aperitif sounds pretty good in itself, but when the food is obviously so freshly prepared with quality ingredients and unpretentiously served......then that was what made the experience such a great one.... Great Lunch mainly only locals who are all friendly and helpful, this a family run business only open for lunch, a little difficult to find in old Nice but well worth the search.Very crowded but this is good as you have to converse with everyone next to you.The food is traditional French and reasonably priced. Highly recommend this restaurant to... More

We were attracted to this place because it looked buzzy and unpretentious. Small and cosy, full of locals. Lunch was good value and food was prepared in full view of the eating area. A place where people still drink Pastis rather than designer water. Recommended if you want an authentic, non touristy experience.

If you are looking for lunch that is genuinely local, want to rub shoulders with the locals and so on then this is the place. The food is good, grumpily prepared by the owner - they actually quite nice so don't be put off. All in all in a genuine Nicoise experience in surroundings that are local, far from elegant,... More

We have been to "the old town" in Nice many, many times during the last 35 years, but it was not until 2 weeks ago we discovered Café de la Bourse in the Grimaldy Square and less touristic end of this particular part of Nice. The place looked rather chaotic and worn down, but a really nice sounding 3 course... More
