A family restaurant with the husband and wife on the floor. Food is distinctively French, as oppose to the French/Italian fusion seen mostly in this town. We love that they debone the whole fish table-side. We also had the steak, which is a thick piece of meat. Price is a bit higher than average. But worth it as the quality... More

Had a good evening meal here in late March 2016. Food was great and thoroughly recommend. Unfortunately had an accidental overcharge on the credit card which I am pleased to say was rectified by the owners when we returned to New Zealand.

We booked a table at the recommendation of our hotel. When we arrived they had no table but realised it was their mistake so quickly - but charmlessly - made up an extra table. Meanwhile a table set for 10 remained empty all night. Madame is clearly rather tired of dealing with tourists who, admittedly, will only be guests for... More

This was one of favorite meals during our 6 weeks in France and Italy. The atmosphere was charming, quaint, and peaceful. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and immediately seated at a lovely table. We enjoyed sipping refreshing champagne and later good wine, and savoring a great amouse bouche and warm French bread, all delicious. We shared an awesome... More

We were recommended this restaurant by a shop keeper. We luckily managed to get a table in this rather snuggly packed restaurant. It was a truly justified recommendation - fresh calamari (a rarity these days, normally frozen) excellent sea bass ( I asked for it to stay on bone), absolutely divine duck with chunky orange sauce (finally the real thing).... What a surprise. The usual port restaurant was a greasy spoon BUT not Le Petit Port. Just across from the Cocteau Museum in a quiet street we had a lunch on the tree covered terrace. The menu was a chalk board with the fresh fish of the market. Loup, Turbot, Dorade etc. This being Menton we went for the soupion... More

It seems to be very difficult to find a restaurant in Menton with consistent quality (except for Mirazur, of course). Disappointingly, Le Petite Port did not show any excellence for us. There is a feeling of long history of family held business in this restaurant. We don't know if that in fact is the case, but it shows with lack... More
