Lunch with friends. We all went for the 38€ menu. Starters nice. A lot of cheese on the tartelette au chèvre which was a pity. 2 of us had the "plat du jour" which was "codfish". The fish on our plate was not at all codfish but daurade! Therefore I can't give them a higher rating. We live in this... More

We had good food but terrible service last night. We were ignored for most of the meal, and couldn't even get the check promptly when we asked. It was obvious that no one wanted to bother with a party of two. Lots of time to set tables for new arrivals, but absolutely no attention was paid to us the entire... More

We had a week in Cannes, and surrounds, with one Michelin restaurant and 2 recommended restaurants, besides many other meals, and this was the best of the lot! Why? A combination of ambiance, good service and excellent food. Our lunch was superb. My husband had the lunch special of three courses at €38 whilst I had turned a tatami and... More

A little swim in the Mediterranean sea and next, and a nice cocktail and meal at Le Boucanier. You can't dream of a better setting ! The successors of Mr & Mrs Lafontaine (who were so nice people) have done a great job with the lay-out of the terrace. Now you can relax having drinks and finger food in one... More

I have since years been going to this restaurant and was eager to check it out since the owner changed hands about a year ago. The staff that they had has all gone and now it is a bunch of kids that when I visited played games with each other...not what I would expect in an up market restaurant. The... More

We were looking forward to revisiting this restaurant as we have eaten here several times over the years. Prior to our visit for dinner, we had coffee and drinks in the very pleasant lounge area a few times and the very good makeover suggested it was under new management. Unfortunately it seems to be a case of throwing out the... More

We spent a lovely evening at Le Boucanier. Although we had booked, we did initially wonder if we might have been given a table in the corner away from the beach/harbour as we were first time visitors with two children, as empty, unreserved tables did seem to be available. However, as it turned out the position was perfect: a great... More

We returned to this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the general upgrade. Still buzzy and busy, the food is generous and good, though the fish is better than the meat. The Soupe de poisons is still wonderful and the desserts are good fun. The service is not brilliant, but it is August....Quite expensive - need to book - well... More

We have been to this place a few times over the years, and as always it has proven to be a good choice. We turned up for dinner without a reservation, and were given the "last table", which was not in a very good position, however we accepted since we had not booked, a few minutes later when we decided...
