Average food, many faux pas in the service. It is not what it used to be 15 years ago. Tourist trap unfortunately.

Went there with great expectations, but left more than disappointed. Main course ‘Luke warm’ bouillabaisse. At €150. per person, one would hope it would be hot. So after declining a 2nd course, which was more of the same, we told the manager that we had...been given Luke warm food, which he actually disputed!!!! They only charged for 1 portion, but were still not interested in taking up our complaint, when leaving the restaurant I again told the manager I was more than disappointed, to which he replied “thank you sir” Ending on a positive, wine was good, dessert was excellent and our taxi arrived in timeMore

The worst service, you can imagine in a fine dining restaurant Sadly, dreadful. Never the Less, the seafood is very good, the alternative, meat was poor sadly, but the sea food is beautiful, with out question. Very sadly the kitchen is not supported by the...waitress, in fact, nore is it by the floor management, they in turn also ignore your table all night, as much as physical possible, as do the waitress. Some of the worst, most uninterested staff, I’ve ever seen in a restaurant of such reputation in my life. Sack the waitress please, they are not worthy of this restaurant and wake the management up for God sake, your beautiful restaurant deserves better. Jordan LundMore

The 1 star was for the experience- we never got to eat any food although having eaten there once previously in 2020 it is very good. This year, for my fathers 81st birthday treat we booked a table for 7 at 8pm only to be...telephoned at 7:40pm by the restaurant and told they had a ‘large party’ arriving so our table was cancelled! We had confirmed our table in the morning of the dinner so no excuses there. We were left dressed-up, with two taxis to now and the buzz of anticipation in our group now ruined, and so was a very special night. No-one could quite believe the arrogance of Restaurant Bacon, i still cant.More

This restaurant is my absolute favourite one on the French Riviera. It’s a great place to enjoy fresh local fish, the chef is incredible, and so is the service. You shouldn’t visit the region without trying this place and try the bouillabaisse !!! I definitely...recommendMore

Our family dined at this restaurant on a Tuesday. It was quiet and we were given a table in front of the open window (no glass) in front of us. The food was nice but not exceptional. The Italian chef came out to say hello....It was nice. We returned to this restaurant on a Friday night. We were given a table faced by a glass. I asked for a table like the one before, without a glass, because it was nicer to have fresh air. The waiter replied not-so-nicely that there was nothing wrong with this table. I asked whether we could sit at any of the other 3 empty tables. I was told they were booked (they were not, btw), or to sit at a table that was suitable for a couple. We regrettably stayed at the same table. When the food came, the starters were not as good as the first time. The sea food did not taste as fresh. It was not a deal breaker. However, we then waited 1 hours for the main course to arrive. When it arrived, my spaghetti had clearly been kept under the food warmer for so long that the spaghetti looked like some dried up bent sticks. It was almost ridiculous to lift it from the plate with a fork, since it would come up all strangely hard and bent. My mother's gnocchi has also clearly been kept under the kitchen's food warmer for a long time. I complained to the waiter who, with the same arrogant attitude, told me that there was nothing wrong with my dish. I pointed out to him that the other 3 tables around us, that came after us, had been served earlier. He replied that he took his orders before ours. This is not true, since perhaps he only took the order of 1 table before ours, but not the others. There was however no way to even get an apology for him. It is my convinced that the waiter purposely punished because I complained about the table. Further, none of the tables we had been told were booked was occupied all evening - they stayed empty. When the owner heard me argue with the waiter he came over and asked me what he could to do fix it. However, he was not genuinely concerned with fixing our evening, since they had already ruined the evening I had organized for my mother. Instead, he seemed more concerned to have me shut up as soon as possible, so he could go back mingle with his friends at another table, and perhaps play with his dog, as he was doing earlier that night. I told the waiter and owner that I believe the Italian chef was not in the kitchen that night, since he would not have served such abysmal food. They insisted he was. I still do not believe it, unless he was and the waiter purposely kept our food sitting there for an hour to punish us. My opinion is that the waiter is arrogant and petty, and he will try to ruin your evening if you dare to complain. It is my opinion that the owner is a 'relic from a past glory', when "rich and famous" used to come to his restaurant, but he has not lost interest for offering his guests a pleasant evening. Therefore we will not come back or recommend this place. We were not charged for the main course. Nor, we were offered an apology for the inconvenient. And this is supposed to be the 'great' French Riviera? They need a reality check.More

I requested a table to be outside/on uncovered patio. When we arrived the patio was completely covered, no windows open and they had allocated us a table in the middle of the restaurant closely surrounded by tables. We asked if we could be moved to...an outside table on patio and open the windows. The answer was negative and we did not like the attitude of the woman so we promptly left. During a pandemic they should be doing more to make the restaurant as safe as possible.More

Exceptional view, succulating bouillabaisse, very good service. Christophe, the boss, is very professionnal, and an aesthete, specialist in art glassware that he exhibits in his restaurant.
