Since the tasting rooms close for lunch the tasting room attendant at Chateau La Nerthe recommended the restaurant in this hotel. They had a three course meal choice (up to three courses, your choice) and everything was fresh. The menu is traditional French cuisine. The staff was friendly and the food was very good.

While staying for a long weekend we had booked dinner for a company of 12 at this fine dining castle hotel restaurant. Ston castle from outside appears cold, but as you enter, a few rooms close to entrance have been redocerated in a very warm cosy style ( red walls) with French artwork giving the room a very "cosy", warm... We stayed in the chateau so besides dinner we also had breakfast here. Dinner: Presentation was very well thought out with a starter, main and dessert for 43€. This also includes amuse bouchée and a pre- dessert sample. The restaurant is charming and intimate with a service level that matches. We were luck to have the very charming Estelle who... More

We were a group of 5 staying at the hotel and touring the Southern Rhone valley. We had such a great time on our first dinner that we returned the following night and then another night. The food was beautifully presented and was equally delicious. Estelle and the staff were excellent, professional, and efficient but were also willing to engage... More

The chef is an artist. The service is superb and the wine list is more than adequate and fairly priced.

The food and the wine were wonderful. I had my first salmon ceviche with a white cotes du rhone and then my a Pot de Feu with a light red cotes du rhone. The meat literally fell apart with th fork. My wife is interested in looking this one up in the Julia Child cookbook when we get home as... More

A fairytale like castle sitting on a gentle hill surrounded by vineyards in the prestigious Chateauneuf-du-Pape wine region. We recommend room no. 1 "Anais" with great views and a circular bathroom in one of the towers. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the gourmet cooking is delightful and the breakfast on the front terrace helps you to start the... More

This hotel, restaurant is located on a hill and has the most beautiful structure. It looks like an old castle sitting up overlooking hills of grape trees.

High marks all around. Great wines, of course, with a view of the CNP vinyards, and the river in the background. On a hill overlooking everything. The day was beautiful, the wine was terrific and reasonably priced, and the food was top rate at a fair price. Hard to find a better way to enjoy a lovely meal in the... More

Fine food on the castle terrace. The sea bass, with leek cake in potato mousse, was excellent, the beef filet not so much. Peas were served in a cute potato cup. Great dessert: lavender peach melt over hard meringue. The red wine was memorable: Clos de St. Pierre. We wanted to buy a bottle on departure, but the wine-cellar did... More
