For being abroad it is one of the best places I have ever eaten.
As an appetizer, 12 very tasty escargot. To continue, we ate the roasted suckling pig: excellent flavor and above all excellent crunchiness and consistency of the meat which melted in the mouth. The meat carpaccio served with fresh salad and cheese is also excellent. Very kind and professional staff. For all this food including water and wine, €246 for 5 people is worth it all.

Nice welcome.
Not having booked (I advise you to do so!) and being alone, they found a solution to accommodate me.
Limited menu choice, proof of quality and freshness of the dishes. I had duck breast with a glass of red wine. Alright. Beautiful presentation and well prepared.
And, note, the large choice in wines by the glass and the incredible choice in wines by the bottle; dozens of wines - 46 rightly claims to be also a wine bar.
Everything was perfect...except for the error in the bill, glass of wine billed at 9.50 instead of 7.50. Willful error or distraction from the boss? In any case, he corrected it without flinching.

We happened to pass Le 46 and we were lucky to get a table outside. The service was incredibly nice and accommodating, the menu and wine list selected and not overwhelming.
We got a greeting from the kitchen (panna cotta with parmesan), which was so delicious that I already figure out a trick how to get the recipe...
After that we had a charcuterie plate, sardines and grilled dorades with vegetables. The Dorade was perfectly grilled, the vegetables to the point and lovingly arranged and super delicious!
A real taste experience!
Added to this was the perfect service with a rounded wine recommendation.
I really want to come back.

Extremely nice service and cozy atmosphere. However, the food was very mediocre to poor.
Price-performance ratio too high. A manageable menu with starters and three main courses, which usually promises good food.
But these expectations were not met in any way: very simple, unimaginative cuisine, with warmed-up potatoes and vegetables, no highlights in the presentation, very boring preparation. Too expensive for this quality.

This place is exceptional - extensive wine list, kind staff, and some truly delicious dishes. The wines by the glass are extensive and of the highest quality. Many are from the region, but they offer a few other regions that you can try. Wines by the bottle are fairly priced and offer a bit more variety. Staff is very knowledgeable and willing to make recommendations. Their passion is evident. The dishes are all prepared fresh and made to perfection. This is truly a gem of a restaurant in Avignon. We came back several times because it was so special.

Went with Spouse during vacation.
The team in the Restaurant were very nice, welcoming and most important, they really cared.
They helped with the wine pairings, gave suggestions, if you are not an expert in wines but want an awesome experience be it in wine pairing or wine enjoyment, these guys will give their best to offer you such an experience, AMAZING.
The food was very good, one of the best scallops. One dish was not to my liking, but that was my personal problem, dish was executed perfectly still.
So there you go, thanks to the team and the chef for delivering not only a pleasant evening, but a journey of the senses.
Highly recommended.

A cosy but spacious restaurant with an enormous wine list, delicious food and exceptionally welcoming and friendly staff.
Not so many tables so do book in advance.
It was a family dinner and all of us remained truly happy after this dinner. The starters were very tasty: we’ve had the snails and the foie gras (small portions but very good), the main course dishes were big portions and delicious - we’ve chosen Magret de Canard and it was impeccable. As for desserts: we’ve tried one babà au rhum (nice) and a Croquant Chocolat-praliné (really tasty!!).
Overall: the place has a great wine choice for you to enjoy, the cuisine is exquisite, and we were overwhelmed by the staff’s hospitality. It really felt like dining at a good friend’s house.
Highly recommended.

We were in Avignon for a four day holiday and ate here twice. Our waiters helped us choose the right wines to go with our meals and did not push the expensive options. Quick lesson on eating les escargot, great vehicles for garlic and herb butter. Fantastic menu of local food with variations on the night. Highly recommended, great atmosphere.

We dined here on the 14th of July. Making a reservation (via the Fork) was a good idea because many locals who hadn't booked a table had to wait outside for quite a long time.
Despite some excellent reviews on the Fork it turned out to be one of the least favourite meals of our 9-day holiday in France. Don't get me wrong - I have no complaints about the quality of food, which was very good, but €18 for a salad with a few slices of beetroot seems a bit on the pricey side. Even after a 10% reduction, which we got because the kitchen/waiter had forgotten our order, it came out to be the highest dinner bill we had during those 9 days - at almost €100.

You will be welcomed very personally by the host. There are normal tables inside, or low tables and leather chairs where you can eat. The large white dog of the house lies, mostly sleeping and very relaxed in the way around.
The music suits our taste - Pink Floyd, Supertramp etc.
The menu is clear, 3 starters and 3 main courses. Vegetarians will not get their money's worth. The food is well prepared and really tasty. The wine selection is impressive.
We were happy with the evening.

Amazing lunch, we came here with 4 adults and two toddlers and they were so accommodating. The owners even let our daughter play with their dog outside.
On top of the sevice - the food was amazing! Absolutely delicious with some lovely wine. Highly recommend

We were lucky to find a table without a reservation. The menu is limited but it comes with a long wine list. We had a friendly welcome and were helped choosing the meal and associated wine. We both had an exceptional duck main course - every element special and full of flavour.
The service was good and included transferring all the outside diners inside when the rain came down

We ate here on the evening of my birthday and had a really special experience. We were contacted beforehand with a choice of indoor or outdoor seating and we had a lovely table outside on arrival. Our waitress was wonderful, she was so friendly and spoke very good English, translating the menu for us. There is an extensive wine list with it being a wine bar and the wine we chose was delicious. The food was varied and all delicious - we shared escargots to start, which was my first experience with snails - so tasty! Our main courses of duck and prawn pasta were tasty, and our dessert ordered came out with a candle and accompanying 'Bonne Anniversaire' singing from our waitress! Complimentary chocolates rounded off a wonderful meal. I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Avignon, the staff were very attentive.

A very nice discovery just a stone's throw from the Palais des Papes.
In addition to offering a large selection of wines, this wine bar also offers quality products to snack on and excellent cuisine. The dishes and desserts are of high quality.
The staff is very welcoming and gives good advice on choosing wines.

A hidden gem located in a residential setting behind the palace. We had just arrived in Avignon and didn't have a booking but we were able to get a table outside shortly after 7 when they opened for dinner. What a wonderful experience. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and provided an english language menu. My need for a gluten free choice was happily and easily met with everything either gluten free or easily adjusted. A small menu of seasonal ingredients including meat, seafood and vegetables. And the opportunity to drink a glass of wine from the local area Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Just fantastic! We will return.
