Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The workers are rude! Can't speak english. Ice cream is not that great quality either. I heard before it was good but now since they changed ownership the quality has become terrible.

Ooo, salted caramel and lavender ice cream and sorbet boules. Sat at a table outside, marvellously tasty end to our day not ‘sur le pont d’Avignon’.

Thoroughly enjoyed my dessert here. I had the Jolie Jolie - which I demolished pretty quickly! Staff was really sweet too - and I noticed she made the effort to engage with all the customers; also her English was far better than my French!

Excellent home-made ice cream, I loved the 4 Agrumes sorbet and Orient flavor (dates, almonds and orange flowers) . 😍✨️

An absolutely wonderful little restaurant! The service is excellent and extremely accomodating. Everything is homemade including the ice cream and sorbets. Organic ingredients are used in very creative taste combinations. We had the crepes for breakfast followed by ice cream and sorbet. It all was...delicious and very affordable. We met the chef who cares a great deal about the quality and affordabilty of the food so every can enjoy and it show in the results. We will return over and overMore

I hardly ever leave a comment after going to some cafe or restaurant, but this time I felt like I had to. In case you didn't know this place is said to sell the fourth best ice creams of France, there you get why I...was so excited to give them a try! I Indeed I went there with a few friends last saturday (11th of July). The ice creams were indeed really tasty, (they had a lot of flavours), I though, they might deserve this award. But the boss' behaviour was as bad as the ice creams were good if you see what i mean... I remember these young waitresses doing there job perfectly fine, and that person kept yelling at them! I'm not fluent in French but there was no need to be to understand they were constantly scolding them, no matter what they did they seemed like they (the boss) couldn't help but scream. My friends and I felt bad for them and we were not the only ones since some French customers started to tell the boss there was no need putting them down this way (I guess) but they did not care. If by any chance, I come back here for holidays I will not give that cafe my money ever. By the way, I think you can find ice creams at least as good as theirs in another cafe in Avignon quite easily.More

We stopped in after a tour and you can see we liked it! There are cute tables and chairs ready for your tired bodies and the proprietor is friendly. She makes every flavor herself and she is good!

We had to eat here every day because it was SO good. The flavours were amazing, especially the lemon/basil and the lavander. The staff were very patient and helpful, and prices were very reasonable for a quality product. I would recommend buying a cornet or...pot and sitting by the fountain - an wonderful experience!More

Enjoyed lunch inside as it was cooler during a heatwave. Outside tables are an option. The food was delicious with galette (savoury pancake) followed by ice cream.

The staff were kind and gracious. Ice cream excellent with both traditional and creative flavors. A carafe of water provided on each table. Gluten free crepes and waffles also available. Lots of locals stopped by to order as well. Highly recommend.

Like other reviewers, our gourmet tour guide recommended this as a stop. We went directly there after our tour. It is a small shop but if you tell them you want a table, you can get table service. We had a noisette coffee (expresso with...cream) and two dips of their creative, tasty ice cream. They lead us to their section of tables in the square across the street and we ordered. It delivered all that was promised and more. The creative director of this ice cream is a mad scientist with skills. Venture out and try something unique. You won't regret it. Tips: Go inside to check out the flavors before ordering. Ask questions and ask for a taste if you are unsure. They are lovely and helpful.More

We visited this on the recommendation of our gourmet tour guide. Yes, it is pricey for ice cream but you get what you pay for - they use only certified organic ingredients and prefer locally grown produce. The flavour combinations are original and imaginative. We...visited twice. We got ice cream to go on the first visit one late afternoon and the queue was out of the door! The hazelnut and chocolate was worth the wait, as was my partner’s café ristretto. The next day we visited earlier and easily got a table in the square with super friendly table service. No more hazelnut and chocolate - everything is freshly made. Not to worry, nougat & calisson (amazing) and caramel with rose more than made up for it. Worth noting that only ice cream/sorbet is available during festival.More

Very nice location at a nice shadowy square in the center of avignon. The ice creams and sorbets are homemade, not too sweet and very tasty. The flavors are unconventional and some with typical ingredients from the Provence, e.g. thyme/honey/ olive oil. The hazelnut/ chocolate...as well as banana sorbet were yummy too. Passion fruit sorbet was tasty too but you could not taste the other ingredients. Definitely worth visiting when in Avignon!More

We were taking a walk around town and came upon La Princière just by chance. We each chose a different combination of flavors, and each was extraordinary, subtle, and creative. It is worth going out of the way again and again to try all the...wonderful tastes possible.More
