Poor food and poor service not sure sure what else to say. The person who runs the restaurant seems grumpy and rude which would have been fine had the food been actually good but it wasn't - so overall, terrible experience.

Went with a friend last summer. Smallish space with funky art and a really modern, fusion menu. I had marinated crispy pork on a bed of black rice. I'd go again.

After visiting the Cascades du Sautadet in the afternoon, we drove back to Avignon to stay the night. We looked through the recommendations and settled on L'Ubu for the vegetarian/Vegan options that people mentioned. We parked at the JEAN JAURÈS and walked though the old city. The GPS app did not find the address correctly but we found the place... More

It looks sketchy on the way from the pedestrian core of Avignon, but it's not, it's just Very old and not at all touristed up. They have an long interior and cafe seating outside along a little river. The waiter / owner was the whole, front of house, and incredibly efficient. The menu is very creative and vegetarian friendly as... More

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely evening here with fab food and great service. Menu is small but select and delicious. We had lamb shank for main with gnocchi and it was perfect! House wine was superb too. Highly recommend.

Spent an hour finding this as was recommended in one of our books. Set in the old Silk Dyers' quarter, quaint with a small waterway running aside the restaurant. Small with an equally small menu, reason being they take the best things available, cook them and voila, a stunning burst of fresh, tasty food. I had the best greek salad... More

I rely on other trip advisor reviewers to find me interesting places and they came up with a winner. Lovely setting off the main drag and very good prices for Avignon, but a small menu. For me this meant one main course only, fish with quinoa and veg which was good. My husband had pasta with an excellent cheesecake. Plenty... More

Fresh seasonal local food. Very well prepared and presented,. Great combinations that change regularly. The service is gregarious and casual, but excellent at the same time. Throughly recommended.

My dinner at L'Ubu was so delicious that the next morning I returned to ask the chef how he prepared the cod (which was served over risotto with spring legumes, asparagus ..... amazing) The food combination was genius.

We went here for a birthday celebration, partly because 2 of us are vegetarians and we read this would be a good place to cater for that. We where not disappointed! The food was amazing- simple, inventive and tasty! The service was friendly and relaxed, and the waiter offered to make any of the dishes vegetarians. Go! This place is... More
