"We don't do chichi or blabla", says the menu. Perhaps not, but owner-chef Sebastian is a genius of minimalism - a loin of tuna sautéed on four sides, sliced and served with a simple, tasty ratatouille and rice: Magic! This tiny restaurant in a corner of a square in Arles is quite delightful.

We picked this place mainly because everywhere else was closed or didn't look attractive. First impressions were not great but we gave it a try. Am I glad we did. As others have pointed out the waiter is also the chef but we could hear everything getting prepared in the kitchen so a lot was freshly prepared and very tasty.... More

Had dinner at this restaurant in January. I can't speak highly enough of it. If you are looking for traditional French food, this is the place to go. I ordered a steak cooked blue which came perfectly to order with vegetables. The entire experience was wonderful and the chef/waiter/everyman, was exceptional!

The place to have dinner with friends in Arles : excellent meal (all home-made : from appetizers to desserts), and the waitress made all effort to satisfy all demands (we asked for gluten-free meals). The dining room is nicely furbished. The vine was proposed by the waitress and matched perfectly with the meals

set in pleasant square with other restaurants and bars. we both had the set menu with a decent bottle of wine and coffee for under 60 euros. service was a bit slow as the waiter also appeared to be cooking as well (not a problem as we were happy to take our time and enjoy the whole experience). the meat... This restaurants fixed price meal is simply scrumptious. The ratatouille and lemon chicken go together perfectly. A real deal. Not as expensive as TripAdvisor says.

I ate here twice on consecutive Saturday evenings during our visit to Arles, once with my wife and then alone as she had been hospitalised in Marseille but insisted I should eat and drink well regardless! The restaurant is tucked away at the far end of Place Voltaire off the main tourist route from the rail station and bus park... More

Only slightly away from the Amphitheatre in Arles, in a quiet corner is the L'ingenu. My wife and I looked at many restaurants in the centre, and came across this gem, quite by accident. We chose from the a la carte menu and were treated to beautiful cooking, of the highest order. The proprietor was very kind and explained each... More

The chap running this place cooks and serves himself. the fish and chicken was excellent. We were able to sit outside in a little patio and enjoy the very mild weather.

We just returned from a 3 week vacation in France and this is the first review I am doing. I could not wait to let others know what a wonderful dinner we had. We ordered the special and were very happy with the meal. The restaurant is reasonable in price, very quaint and the food is great. The creme brule... More
