Amazing hot chocolate and a beautiful view of Cours Mirabeau. When you think of a classic French café, you think of a place like this. Just be aware that it's a little bit more expensive than some of the other cafés, but honestly it's worth at least one visit.

We went here because it was one of the restaurants that Cezanne went to frequently. It is a little intimidating at first because it seems quite formal, but it’s actually somewhat casual. We just wanted to have a glass of wine, but then there was a nice selection of fish and we ended up having lunch. The people watching, meaning... More

The classic. You have to go. We went for late lunch and had some dismal salads, but it was nice to sit and people watch. Would I ever go back? Maybe in summer, for a nice refreshing drink and a place to relax.

We stopped in Aix for lunch and few hours of roaming the streets on our way to Nice from several days in Provence. We found a patio table at the charming Les Deux Garcons. Our waiter was superb... and the food was amazing. Make sure to visit the interior for the historic decor and ambience!

Les Deux Garcons is one of the most famous restaurants in Aix, hosting such historical figures such as Cezanne. Located on the Cours Mirabeau, you can sit on the terrace and people watch. The drinks are good, but extremely pricy - be prepared to pay 15 euro or more for a small cocktail. Unfortunately the service leaves much to be... More

Best French service, great for people watching. Right on the avenue, very chic. Nice selection of food and beverage.

This restaurant is worth going to as the ambience feels it's not changed for around 100 years - not shabby at all but very traditional feel - could come out of a Manet painting - lots of mirrors, waiters bustling, varied clientele, scene of many famous diners such as Andre Maurois and Jean-Paul Sartre. Food good if mainstream with hints... More

We had two truly horrible coffees, once cappuccino and one espresso. The service was polite and friendly, but both tasted like dirty dishwater. If you want to run a café, you need someone who can make coffee, no matter how famous you are.

Located at one of the main streets in the city, is a traditional place that has been around since mid 1800. Great place to enjoy a coffee and desert, but also very good food. Can not miss it!

We visited Les Deux Garcons Restaurant in Aix-en-Provence in September 2016. The food, service and local wines were excellent. We would have liked to visit again but didn't have time as we were only there for one week.
