The biggest & most expensive croissants but not the best. Fancy coffee shop but not my cup of tea. I prefer more simple.

I was lucky to catch the pop-up Riederer next door to my hotel to enjoy tea time and buy chocolates for Christmas

I'm so glad there are two Riederers in Aix as this place is simply amazing. From gazing at the display to enjoying the actual pastries everything about this place is absolutely beautiful. Tea drinking in the afternoon is the best although any chance you get to go there is great. The service could always be improved but I would ignore... More

We always having our afternoon coffee & cake there when in Aix. The cakes are sublime, the coffee excellent. Friendly serving, nice, quiet place in the middle of the buzz. Go there!

We are always looking for the best eclairs in France. Riederer's are quite good. Everything in the displays is gorgeous and delicious. The multigrain bread is also very good.

We went there because it looked nice and was the only place around that was open at 15:10 in the afternoon. But what we got was some of the best patisseries we have ever tasted. Fresh, great chocolate, very intense taste. And of course good coffee. A lot of local french people were also there, for a reason. If we... More

I'm a patisserie and chocolate fanatic, and I almost never pass up a chance to taste either when I'm in France, so when I saw the hype about this place on trip advisor I decided I had to go. I got something like a chocolate tart and some chocolates to go, and I was disappointed by both. The chocolate tart... More

On a Saturday morning after visiting Aix open markets, we sat and had a coffee with two cakes. The entire selection looks like it's taken form a fairy tale, or a french cooking book. Most recommended!

We saw this shop where they make amazing chocolates and pastries and walked in to take a look. It wasn't long before we ended up deciding to take a table order coffee and munch into some wonderful biscuits and cookies. The waitress ( owner) spoke a little English and we spoke a little French. She was absolutely gracious with our... More

I lived in Aix en Provence several years and Riederer's chocolate cakes are one of the best I ever ate.I really advice you to go over there and have the chocolate cake with the biscuit on the bottom.
