High quality establishment everything is homemade and it feels. The food is very good. The boss has character. The service is fast. The street was pedestrianized so the setting was friendly. The rock concert pleased us (concerts only some days in summer if I understood correctly)
I do not put 5 stars because I was a little disappointed by the amount of shrimp in my entrance and it is perhaps a little bit expensive for this type of establishment. But again delicious dishes original and neat, it is a pleasure.
But I highly recommend this establishment that gives taste to good cuisine and tableware.

We were only in Cognac for the night and this restaurant was just 5 minutes from our hotel. We liked the look of the menu so decided to stop. They had a table available which was lucky as 30 mins later they were full. We had the set menu for 29€ for 3 courses which we thought was reasonable. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. We both had the gravlax salmon to start with and the pork fillet for a main course. Both were excellent. We hardly ever have dessert but we had the crème brûlée and a cheese plate. Again delicious. With beers wine and coffees the bill was €82 which we thought was very reasonable for France. Would highly recommend.

Really enjoyed this evening’s meal at Le Cellier. Perfect service and the food and wine were outstanding and not expensive. The pork main course was excellent but the stunner for me was the biscuit and dark chocolate dessert whic comes with a cognac, a superb finish to a lovely meal. Highly recommended.

A fantastic dinner with great food impeccable service and the whole at a really fair and moderate price. Iur hotel Ibis gave us the tip. Great local wines, outstanding food and amazing service. A lasting memory!

We called in without a reservation and were lucky enough to get the last table, we were met with a smile and shown to out table . The atmosphere was light bright with wine on all available wall space.

Taken here by some friends on a Friday night. Reasonably busy with a nice atmosphere. Good menu with a couple of specials. Enjoyed starters of saumon and Haddock and a main course of Faux Filet - great choice for both courses.
Having visited a good few Cognac restaurants, I have to say that the staff here are wonderful. All (including owners) gave the impression that they wanted you to enjoy the experience. I will return to this establishment often.
Cannot praise it enough. You should all feel very proud at Le Cellier.

We had dinner here last Saturday, having booked at very short notice. It was initially quiet but soon filled up and there was a nice atmosphere. Our order was soon taken and drinks promptly served. A 33cc draft Leffe cost me €3.80 but oddly the 50cc measure would have cost €6 - something wrong with the pricing there! A litre of nice rosé was reasonable value @ €13.10.
We had the menu du jour and this offered some tempting options. Our starters and mains were superb, generous and nicely presented. I had the confit de canard which was delicious and extremely tender. My wife's veal was also excellent. Sadly we were too full to manage desserts but some of these sounded great.
The service was pleasant and efficient, the bill was reasonable and overall it was a most enjoyable experience.

Three of us came here for dinner recently on a Monday evening when most restaurants are closed. What the French restauranteurs normally expect visitors to do for food on Mondays was beyond us, especially if you live outside of a town. We were so pleased we found Le Cellier and that they were open that evening. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the food was both imaginative and of very good quality. The house wine from the region was very pleasant and the whole meal very good value too. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Had found Le Cellier on Tripadvisor and wasn't disappointed, we arrived early and were seated upstairs. Service was good and food was excellent and reasonably priced. Will definately return and highly recommend a visit.

We were staying in the area and had eaten here many years ago and reviews were good so thought we’d try. It went busy but we were put in a corner but it was fine.
Not much English spoken but that’s ok we managed to get the gist of the specials. We opted for the 23.80€ menu. I had the hors d’œuvres which were excellent with a good choice of salad, cold meats, pate, various pasta dishes. Really good. I then had the duck which was delicious with a lovely sauce with a peppery kick. Very nice. I chose the fresh pineapple which had a lemon sorbet in the heart of the glass. Lovely and refreshing. We had wine and coffee and the lovely waitress recommended a cognac which we enjoyed and told us the name so we could buy some from the local shop which we did.
Three courses for two plus wine, coffee and cognac was £80 which we thought good value. Would eat here again no problem.
