Visited this place by pure luck and what a nice experience. Small list of choices but all was excellent. Gastronomy made it simple and affordable with local products and passion. At team of 3 that switches every night in the kitchen so the service is also top notch with advices from… one of the cook! Small perles when it comes to the wines… the type of place you wish to keep exclusive.

We chose two different starters, two main courses and two desserts.
Only one dessert left us waiting: the result of this one did not please us. Being used to sweet desserts, I didn't like the taste of parsnips in this dish.

If you are looking for a Michelin star quality restaurant with amazing creativity, exquisite flavors, original combinations and outstanding presentations, search no more…this place has it all AND is very reasonably priced. Our waitress provided fabulous recommendations for wine pairing..we all loved it and our ages ranged from mid thirties to late eighties What a gem! We will be back for sure😊

The dining experience at Le Cellier was without doubt one of the finest we have ever had. Every dish in all 3 courses of the menu was superbly prepared - outstanding locally produced ingredients were combined with flair and imagination to produce simply stunning flavours and the presentation of the food would have graced a Michelin starred restaurant. Le Cellier is a gem and anyone visiting Saumur should put a meal there on the "must-do" list.

We really enjoyed our visit to this restaurant. Warm welcome and a nice ambience from the young owners and staff. Small menus always seem to offer good food and this restaurant delivers that in abundance. Excellent quality, the beef and veal and the additions on the plate were perfectly cooked and presentation had a wow! Pud and cheese were also very good. What an absolute delight. I've been meaning to write this review for so long that I've forgotten what I actually ate. Four of us went here in March and were were treated to a fantastic meal with amazing wines and service. The couple who run the place are lovely and were really helpful and knowledgeable about the food and drink. We all had different meals and everything looked and tasted incredible. Definitely worth trying if you can get in. It is quite a small restaurant so make sure you book.
