Very good address in Saumur. The crepes were excellent and the staff were very polite and welcoming. For example, we had never tasted andouillettes and the owner brought us a small plate directly to taste some before ordering.
Although the choice is already very varied, we also asked to replace one ingredient with another in a crepe and this was accepted directly.
Really a nice surprise.

Ooh, La, La! This restaurant was among the best during our stay in France. The owner was patient with our poor French. Everyone (six guests) had something different and the main courses, deserts, and drinks were exceptional. Service was quick and inexpensive. Wish they were in my US city, I would go to them often!

We visited on our first night in Saumur for dinner. I had the salmon and spinach galette with creme fraiche which was delicious and very filling. We enjoyed it so much that we booked a table for dinner on Bastille Day as we weren't sure how busy restaurants would be. It was just as well that we did. The second time I had salad and my partner had galette again plus an ice cream sundae which included "the best coffee ice cream ever eaten". The food was tasty and cooked with fresh ingredients, and was incredibly good value. Only the bottled beer was on the expensive side (they only have bottled beer). The waiting staff were lovely and friendly and tolerated our poor french, despite being busy. Service came with a smile. I would definitely eat here again if back in the area

A personalized welcome from the boss who is a real original Breton with a great atmosphere friendly in room and a fast and impeccable service. a seafood crepe and a peasant crepe accompanied by a bottle of real organic Carpe Diem cider rarely encountered anywhere else but here.

Our family visited here tonight, we have three children of various ages. Both our youngest children (Noah and Harry) ended up being invited into the kitchen by the owner and watching their crepes being made. Nothing was too much trouble, the waitress was attentive and polite and we had both savoury and sweet crepes - ALL of which were amazing! A great experience, highly recommended.

Very intimate place, beautiful decoration, very well filled and excellent pancakes and pancakes! The welcome and service were very warm. The menu is very well stocked, including a large choice of organic products.
The only downside: the service is a bit long (which can be explained by a very full restaurant and only 2 people to satisfy all the customers).
That didn't stop us from having a great time. This is an address to remember if you want to taste excellent Breton specialties in Saumur! :)

We had booked this small family run restaurant in Saumur as a break in our journey from our arrival by ferry in Ouistreham, en route to visit our twin Rotary Club based in the French commune of Melle in south west France. This visit was to help their Members celebrate their 50th anniversary of being chartered as a Rotary Club. This was the ‘traveling-down day’ of our long weekend stay.
Stopping here in Saumur didn't add any significant distance or duration to our journey; but what it did add was a really excellent lunch, and a break that, thankfully, didn't involve stopping in an autoroute service area.
This visit to Creperie La Bigouden was a second time for us, and a first for our travelling companions. We were on a quite tight schedule as the restaurant is not open for very long at lunchtimes. We didn’t need to worry as we made good progress despite some awful thunderstorms. We arrived in Saumur, in plenty of time thanks to light traffic on the autoroutes, and without any significant delays caused by roadworks.
On arrival at the restaurant we were shown to our reserved table. Drinks orders taken, being wine for two, and coffee for all four. We were quickly provided with menus and studied them.
I had already decided that I would have a similar dish for my main as I'd had on my first visit here 29 months before. This was a steak haché galette with egg and cheese and it was, as per my previous experience, most excellent. The haché was hot but the meat was pink and extremely tender. My Partner and one of our guests had chosen a chicken and mushroom galette which was also excellent. Our other guest had a ‘Celtic’ galette – port mince in a tomato-based sauce with an egg: again excellent.
Desserts were taken by all of us: both ladies chose the ‘Coupe des Iles’ an absolutely huge glass sundae dish of fruit, topped with ice cream and Chantilly. Both sundae dishes were enhanced with a substantially sized crisped crêpe stuck into the cream on the top. Both ladies finished the lot!
The gents decided of something more in keeping with our appetites: a chocolate crêpe with a small boule of ice cream, whereas I had a crêpe Normande with apple and flamed Calvados. Superb!!
Both gents had been very amused by the ladies who did manage to eat all of their deserts, but the earlier coffee order had a further trick to play. Our lady guest had ordered a ‘Café Viennoise’ which arrived whilst she was taking a comfort break. On her return she saw her coffee on her place mat complete with its huge and daunting topping of yet more Chantilly. To be fair it was all consumed with no ill effects.
It was a hugely enjoyed meal and well worth the 20 mile detour taken to get to this wonderful restaurant. We will certainly be back when we visit France again.

It's perfect for a Valentine's Day evening. The seafood galette is delicious and well garnished. The scallops are cooked to perfection and to finish the buckwheat pancake has a scoop of ice cream and organic honey. A faultless one.

Great time at Bigouden! Excellent welcome, very friendly and friendly. Excellent pancakes. As a vegetarian I particularly appreciated the possibility of replacing meat with tofu in all the pancakes. I recommend and I will come back without hesitation!

The welcome is very good. Well located in a very nice pedestrian street.
The cakes are absolutely delicious. A real treat. These are not simple cakes that can be found in any pancake shop. The cakes are very good and their filling very tasty.

Firstly, we were very well received! It was the first time we came and we had a German correspondent with us, this allowed us to leave a good image of a French restaurant, which deserves to be recognized by its cuisine (homemade) and this buckwheat crepe , just a delight! If you want to eat delicious pancakes and pancakes, don't hesitate and go there with your eyes closed. The toppings are generous, delicious, made with good organic products for the most part. Excellent value. The staff and owners are super friendly, smiling, in short we have a great time there.
