Good wine, good wine, nice small place. Menu is relatively standard stuff, but I have to say I was stunned at the high quality of the creme brûlée. To have such a common dish stand out is a pleasant surprise.

Came across this place by chance and certainly didn't regret it. The food was good - mushroom and coquille starter and salmon, pike for mains. Nice bottle of local Saumur white to go with it. Friendly service and good atmosphere too.More

Great food, great prices, genuine local fare and service. A really good restaurant just off the beaten tourist track behind the opera house. Excellent value for money - a place where the locals visit - I recognised the local baker there having a quiet smoke...More
We always like to have a café here, or sometimes to eat. The service is always good and the prices are reasonable.
thank you ! we're happy to read you. Restaurant La Comédie.
Fairly unprepossesing from the outside, this is a lovely restaurant. Unfussy, but welcoming, the food is straightforward, but very good. Starters of mushroom and cheese, and scallops were both excellent. Main courses of cod and rabbit were also good, though the pasta accompanying both was...More
