A remarkable little restaurant in so many ways, this bijou establishment was first-class from the service given to the excellent delicious food. Staff were very kind and welcoming and managed to squeeze us in on a busy Saturday evening. The menu demonstrated Normandy cuisine at its best and there were many choices through the courses. My assiettes des fruits de... More

This atmospheric restaurant is located in the old part of Rouen just behind Eglise Saint Maclou. Having done some research on Trip Advisor & discovered that very few restaurants are open on Sunday evening I had already booked. Glad I did as many people were turned away & it is only a small restaurant. We enjoyed the 4 course menu... More

We went for lunch and had a great time. Friendly service, right in the heart of historic Rouen, excellent value. Leave room for their homemade apple tart at dessert time, it is fantastic.

Visited Rouen to watch the tennis and passed this restaurant on the first night but it was fully booked so we decided to book for a couple of days later - so glad we did. The food was delicious- very good value and the service and ambience really friendly. I don't think you can go wrong with this place.

If you want to try the typical cuisine of Normandy, here's the right place. You have to book early to find a spare table, because this place is always crowdy. I really suggest to taste the cheese of the region, it's delicious (a bit stinky too, of course)!

Recommended to us by our hosts, and was a great choice. Never had snails before, and tasted wonderful in a garlic sauce, followed by well cooked steak. Wife had mussels and skate, also brilliant. Our 2 dogs were welcomed, and service was great. Happy to go again and again!

I came here with an old art school friend and we really enjoyed our meal. You definitely need to book as it was complet on arrival at 8pm. (luckily we had reserved a table a few days earlier) I had snails and then skate in a beautiful sauce followed by Normandy cheeses and crime brûlée. All served promptly and well.... More

The ambiance was lovely the hosts were very helpful and polite. we ate off the set menu and had a fantastic meal.... More

We had a reservation for La Petite Auberge and were quickly seated at a table at this very busy restaurant (and it was a Sunday night, so often it is hard to find a food establishment open). The inside of the restaurant reminded us of a place in Quebec City (Aux Ancient Canadians), not a right angle to be found... More

If you want to taste real French cooking then visit here: snails, frog's legs, veal, delicious sauces, gorgeous desserts and the friendliest service. They offer several fixed price menus from 18.50 euros to about 30 euros which includes starters, main, a cheese course and a dessert. The problem is getting a table, either book in advance or turn up on... More
