We were a family of three in Honfleur for the day. With no reservation we were given a corner table in the light glassed in terrace - a perfect spot to observe the well-dressed French bourgeoise who were our fellow diners. We chose the set menu for 29 euros and we're delighted by the fresh flavors, high quality, seasonal ingredients... More

Dinner on Jan 02. Great service, lovey atmosphere and really good food. The dining room is charming with a real fire and ancient exposed beams. Highly recommend

We were disappointed in the dinner in this restaurant on the port of Honfleur. We were served very slowly, and the food was unappetising and overcooked - think the fish had been frozen. Would not return.

Very nice place but not so easy for vegan, and quite expensive for so few in the plate ! but very good quality food.

Having arrived late at our hotel we were recommended L'Absinthe: a plus point is that it was open late when others had closed. Excellent traditional French seafood. Attentive and professional service. Nice ambience. Even though it was late we didn't feel rushed: a relief after a long drive. Well situated by the harbour's edge. Best meal that we had in... More

A quiet Monday evening in town, but what a special treat to be so well looked after by pleasant smart and attentive staff. Wine list is large and expensive and the offer of a recommendation by the waiter filled me with fear. No need to worry because he suggested about the cheapest white which was excellent! The 30euro for 2... More

Service was excellent and very good food. We have scallops as a main which were so good. Nice wine list not cheap but good quilts. I would also recommend this as a nice for couples or friends to eat the atmosphere inside is very nice.

We visited here with a large group on our way back to Paris from Normandy. The food was good, although slightly under seasoned. The waitstaff and the wine were fantastic. Beautiful setting in a beautiful town.

We had dinner following eating at one of the sister restaurants. It is of course a much more classy place and the ambiance is very good. However it gets booked up and we found it a bit tiresome that it felt like an endless queue of people walked past our table to try to book and were turned away so... More

We have eaten here on a number of occasions and our greeting may be influenced by recognition, but all customers appeared to be made equally welcome. A wide range of menus and surprisingly, for an above average restaurant, starting at very competitive prices, which some may not have realised. The ambiance and attention to detail mark this as a place... More
