Our team found La Rapiere tucked down an interesting stone alley off the Main Street of Bayeux; and we are so thankful that we did! Ten pictures uploaded show my trip through French dining, missing only a few of the palate intermediaries. The steak was perfect. Cheeses interesting and complementary. Dessert heavenly. But it was the staff that warmly welcomed... More

We had a great dinner. We did the set menu for 49Euro for 4 courses with few other surprises. We had them pair glasses of wine with each course also. enjoyed everything. had oysters/salmon and shrimp in thai sauce for appetizer. halibut/beef for main. cheesecake (so good) and coconut merengue for dessert. also cheese course, nice local choices.

We ate in this lovely restaurant on a Friday evening. We hadn't booked and were lucky to get a table as we were fairly early. The service was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. The wine was also very good! Highly recommended.

We ate at this charming, delicious restaurant on our first night in Bayeux, on recommendation from our hotel, Villa Lara Hotel. What a fabulous recommendation!!! We had just been in Paris for 6 nights and this meal topped anything we ate there, including our meal at Jules de Verne at the Eiffel Tower! The decor is beautiful and the entire... More

This is a nice quiet dinner spot in Bayeux. Our servers were very attentive and we never felt like they were too busy to help or check on us. The atmosphere is cozy but not at all cramped and the noise level is low. A great couples location. They offered a good variety of food and wine and we were... More

The food was wonderful - we had the fish of the day, and a filet. Both were prepared perfectly. The waiter recommended a French Bordeaux that was moderately priced, yet outstanding. We finished the meal with a cheese selection, and "Elvis' last meal" which was truly delicious and memorable!

We were directed to La Rapiere by our hosts at the L'Augerges hotel we stayed at in Bayeux (also fabulous and highly recommended - ask for Frederick!). We were casually dressed but they made us feel completely comfortable! It has an understated elegance - quiet and serene. We treated ourselves to a very nice bottle of wine -- handsomely presented.... More

We dined here on our first night in France and it definitely set the bar high. I had the rabbit which was beautifully cooked and full of flavour. We were very impressed with the selection of cheeses they had which they brought out on a large trolley. The wine was also fantastic. Overall a very good experience and the staff... More
