Everytime I go to this restaurant I am very impressed by the efficiency and friendliness of the staff. They even remembered which table we sat in in April and kept it for us - and knew what we were likely to order! - Talk about feeling welcome! I recommend this restaurant for lunch whole-heartedly , but have to say I... More

Had a good, simple lunch overlooking the sea and watching people surf in the rain. A more than adequate menu which we didn't really put to the test but what we ate was excellent.

This is an appalling place. We chose the 34€ menu. My wife had a mussels starter (11!) and I had anchovies (hard to see on the plate!). Our main courses were both ribsteak. I have never seen so much gristle and fat on a plate in my life. We struggled through a few mouthfuls each and then gave up disgusted.... More

Excellent welcome with great advice to avoid sitting on the edge of the terrace on a windy evening! As a result we had a lovely table on the terrace and able to enjoy the fabulous views across to the castle and church as darkness fell and the lights came on. The waiters were very friendly and helpful. We shared a... More

Love the place. Food is good, portions generous, mussels particularly plump at the moment. Staff helpful and friendly. Watch night fall on the town and the lights reflect in the bay and then take a little stroll.

We returned to Collioure after five years. Decided on LAmphitryon for lunch. Fist tip is to go that bit further and opt for the 24 Euro menu. This gave us mussels in a wonderful creamy sauce and the cod with vegetables. Really delicious food and a well-priced wine list, esp nice rose'. The desserts were great too...passion fruit topped panda... More

It is quite rare to experience poor quality food in France, but this is a poor restaurant, I am sorry to say. Had mussels for starter, followed by sea bream. The mussels were overcooked, many were broken, which means the mussels were dead before they were cooked. The sea bream has been cooked hours before and they just rearranged it... More

Arrived early at lunch and got a table with a lovely view over the harbor. Restaurant soon filled up (many of them locals or regulars). Maybe worth booking in peak season of for an evening meal. Waiters were very efficient and helpful & spoke very good English (which was very helpful as our french is not very good!). The 15... More

There was a gentle tranquility to this restaurant. Stunning views of the beach/harbour/mountains from our table. Great seafood, presented with some flair, and wine selected from the domaine literally across the road. Book in advance for the best seats in the house. We enjoyed a peaceful evening meal here having been recommended by friends back in the UK and will... More

We went here with our British friends for lunch, it is in a lovely spot overlooking the water. We had the prix fixe luncheon for 15 euros and thought it was terrific. Two order the mussel appetizer which came in a huge pot and was seasoned so well that you just wanted to keep dipping your bread in it. Two... More
