We were staying at a hotel more or less next to this restaurant, it was their recommendation that we went. The place gets busy and we hadn't booked but we popped in just before opening time to get a place for an hour later. So...glad we did! The food was excellent, my wife had meat base starter and main, I had fish based. Would defintely recommend this place, warm friendly service and even had a couple of decent craft beers!More

Mamagoto was recommended to me by a friend. We’ve just eaten here and had to leave a review as it was so good. It sounds slightly ‘fusion’ on first glance, something which in my opinion, rarely works, but it’s not that at all and the...food is truly excellent. It sounds like an overstatement and could have just been good luck but this was Michelin star level without the prices or pomp! The staff are personable, friendly, and accommodating. Their recommendations regarding each wine to try with each dish were absolutely perfect. The atmosphere is great, comfortable, un-imposing, and they actually congratulated me on my terrible attempts at speaking French! We come to Paris at least once a year and and we’re heading back home to a London tomorrow. We’ve already decided Mamagato is the first place to come to on our next visit.More
A lovely, relaxing well run restaurant with an interesting, extremely tasty, exciting menu. Excellent, thoughtful wine list and delicious aperitifs.
Sleeping in the same road, wanted to have a last drink... law says you need to eat to drink there... Ok had a plate of wonderful cheese and a glass of wonderful wine, both for prices you would expect to pay in the province, not...in Paris ! Wonderful people and goods, I recommend to anyone who’s looking for good wine and food.More
Ate here tonight. Food was delicious as was the Gallicia beer. Good atmosphere and service. Cheese plate was not what I expected it was a cheesecake and not cheese and biscuits. Quite expensive but we enjoyed ourselves.
Located closely to Gare de l'Est, we discovered this cosy location by coincidence shortly before our departure by train. We were positively surprised by the creative and tasty menu. Everything we ordered was delicious. The service during our stay was very friendly. Even more, after...we left and I realized that I had forgotten my cap in the restaurant, they sent it back to me by mail. Great experience and I would definitively come back! P.S.: The name of the restaurant is Mamagoto. Guillaume Cazier is the name of one of the founders, I think.More
This restaurant was a last minute find for our recent trip to Paris and what a find it turned out to be. The restaurant itself exudes a warm, home-like feeling while the food are creative and satisfying with perfect sized portions. The staff are great...at recommendations especially with wine. And don't forget to peek at what the next table orders because you might just discover something new that you might end up ordering. We did just that and had the pleasure of trying their very special, very unique french fries. Do check it out because Mamagoto is simply lovely!More
Just dropped in on the way to hotel for a small late night plate. Took two hours with the most delicious cold plates and superior white wine. Another story was the best service for a while in France! ❤️
Nice food, that needs to be said first. But the portions are a joke. A bad joke, if you're hungry. After spending 50 Euro for a 3-course menu I was left totally hungry and I had to eat 3 bowls of bread to change that....The main course (22 Euro) was 3 tiny pieces of medium cooked pork, maybe around 150g or less, accompanied by 2 bits of cabbage and a small onion. As for the service: although I arrived late, at a time where people rather tend to leave than to come and there was a free table, I was the only one to be seated at the bar. Even when more and more tables got empty, nobody cared to offer me a table. What they did care about though was to make sure I had enough coins for a tip, because when I paid my 50 Euro with a note of 100, instead of giving me back a note of 50 they gave me smaller notes and a bunch of 1 and 2 Euro coins. Sorry guys. Tapas style for the price of a full meal.More
