Located in the Place du Tetre and has seating indoors or in the plaza, we went for the terraces since it was a beautiful day, the food was good and the service acceptable considering there were lots of tourists in the area and the food has to come from the restaurant across the river of people.

I don't think I have had worse food anywhere. The salad was old and browned and chips looked like soggy grease sticks. Avoid if you can....

Came to Place de Tertre looking for the infamous village atmosphere of Monmartre. The atmosphere that you encounter on Monmartre is different than the one you meet in the official parts of Paris and that can be refreshing. Lots of the restaurants are focused on attracting tourists with the outside advertisements of low prices, but be careful with the prices... More

Rude chauvinistic waiters , extremely condescending to American tourists. Inappropriate to young girls

After being warmly welcomed in our family of six was ushered to a table where I noticed broken glasses underfoot. The menu appeared pricey and drink charges weren't listed, but we figured it was a holiday so what the heck - big mistake. A glass of unidentified house red came in at €9.50, as did a Baron 1664 beer, while... More

Sat in the sun. Waited a long time despite asking for a table so they knew that I was there. People who came in 15 minutes after me got their mussels and fish and chips almost right away. My burger came later despite ordering earlier than them. It was freezing cold as were the fries. Not even lukewarm. No ketchup... More

It can be hard to tell how good or bad some places are going to be, but I should have known better than to eat at any restaurant around the Place du Tetre tourist trap. However, several outside tables were occupied already and the food looked OK, so we decided to go with it. Service was slow, but one waiter... More

Absolutely wonderful service, great atmosphere, and good unfussy cuisine. Lovely place to stop for lunch when exploring the beautiful Montmartre district

To avoid! It's for tourists, it's not what we call French cuisine. People seems to be borrowed by customers and the Chef seems to be creative, but without success

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
