I have been in this restaurant already twice. The atmosphere is cosy but when it's packed it tends to be noisy. You may prefer to be downstairs. Their Italian food is ok and of relatively good quality but very expensive for the quantity. And the service is slow and not really friendly.

- Unfriendly staff - My wrong drink was changed into a way too small glass of prosecco - Food was cold - Very small plates (i was still hungry when i left the restaurant) - Food wasn't that good - Overpriced

If you're about a positive dining experience, this place is for you. There are many amazing Italian restaurants in the area and the people at L'Altro are particularly nice and helpful. Ravioli was very good as were wines and desserts. Plan to sit and enjoy good company for a few hours when dining here.

Authentic italian restaurant at the heart of Saint Germain des Pres. You can feel the italian mood just by listening the employees talking among themselves! Service really friendly, visible kitchen and good quality of choice in the menu. Tried one of their antipasti with some italian delicatessen, very tasty! Main dish was also very good but best was yet to... More

The menu card is quite short and truly Italian. My wife had a pasta with some lobster but only grated lobster, you just get some crumbs plus a lot of garlic. Not very tasty. I got oso bucho which was Ok but very basic- meat and plain rocula that's all. So the food is very very simple and overpriced. However... More

Small restaurant with simply Italian food. Nice staff. Great view into the kitchen. The wine from Sardinia was a good tip from the waiter. Do you miss something if you haven't dined here? No, but if you do it is worth while. Specially the combination of atmosphere, staff, wine and food.

Went to this place for dinner. It is a fairly dark looking place with tiny tables and chairs. Felt the chair was a bit uncomfortable. I ordered a starter - a veal carpaccio - which was excellent and another veal and artichokes main course. THis was terrible. It was very chewy and was not tasty. The restaurant staff was helpful... A good meal if a little pricey with very sweet and sympathetic girls serving. The only thing that might havee disappointed were the tomatoes in the caprese, but it is october. I really do not recognize the one and two star reviews...

This hit the spot when we felt like quality Italian food. We had the antipasto vegetable appetizer -- marinated eggplant, peppers, zucchini, mushrooms, olives, etc -- and it was delicious. For him, lamb chops that had him licking his fingers ecstatically. For me, a pasta with ragout of guinea hen and asparagus (next time I'll try a different pasta, but... More
