The food is delicious! Spot on! The homemade ice cream is wonderful! Great value for money and friendly attentive staff.

This was the worst resto I have encountered in 10 years of regular visits to Paris. First, so dark inside, difficult to see the filthy banquette. Second, the menu very dirty. Third ordered simple roquette salad with Parmesan but they were out and insisted the salad with assorted veggies-- 4 euros more-- would be the right choice. Salad filled with... More

Our favorite italian restaurant in Paris. Pizzas and pasta are like nowhere else and the waiter is caring for all your needs. The bread tastes like a very perfumed indian nan. Portions are very generous and we're always full with one main dish. We'll totally fell in love with this place the first time we got in. And still during... More

In the last 3 years I have visited Paris, I have been sure to visit Casa Valentino. Every time I have had the same thing- Honey Goats Cheese Salad to start and Aubergine Parmagiana for main. The food is incredible and the service is too. I always recommend this to people visiting Paris. It's normally quite busy but usually okay... More

Great place. You'll definitely find something on the menu you'll like. We can recommend the penne carbonata (vegetarian) and the osso bucco/tagliatelle. You get a tasty flat bread and parmesan cheese on the side. The soup 'minestrone' was very spicy, carpaccio was ok. We had 2 courses and a large bottle of water for €56,- and found it very reasonably... More

Had a lovely meal here, all food freshly made. Restaurant was quiet, but filled up as night progressed. Service was excellent.

In the land of surly waiters, Casa Valentino was a rare bright spot in our trip to Paris. Reasonable prices, good food and more importantly a friendly staff. Had dinner there tonight, 2 people, 1 salad, 1 soup, 2 entrees and 2 glasses of wine for 52 euro. Pasta Provencale was delicious as was minestrone soup. Salads fresh. Pizza looked... More

Good basic pizzeria with friendly service and moderate prices in an area where good but moderately-priced restaurants are difficult to find. A group of four of us had lunch here last weekend: the service was friendly and the pasta (lasagna) and pizzas were fine. Only negative was that it was a bit noisy - but that was due to noisy... Just visited Casa V alentino - Had wonderful escargot to start and the 4 fromage pasta following. Pasta was done perfectly - nice and firm and stood up well to the very rich cheese sauce. My daughter had a HUGE salad to start and had the curry pasta which she loved. Very good value - prices are more than reasonable... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
