After reading reviews, we went. It has a good value for money and that was what we were into that day. The Bo bun is nice, the nems as well, the spring rolls too. And cheap! We didnt like the dumplings, and the service, but the rest was ok.

A little out of the way but well worth the visit! We came by for lunch and had a great meal here. The service was quick and efficient. The main dining room was full when we arrived but we were immediately seated in the next room (which we had to ourselves). The food was fresh and well-spiced, tasty but not... More

The place is really small and you have to sit just near other people on the same table. We enjoyed making some small talk with my nighbors! The taiwanese food was really tasty and the price was really good for Paris! (29 Euro for two)

There are a lot of people sometimes at rush hour. We have to wait, but this means the place is also good! Service is also slow at rush hour... Sometimes very very slow. BUT Food is really good, the bo bun is perfect, everything is home made, and this is really cheap, same prices than in the 1990s. So, if... More

We had a very bag experience in this restaurant: the foos was not tasty at all and the waiters very impolite. We made a reservation but had to wait half an hour outside et we didn't get any excuse! Never again!

If you are looking for a trendy, cheap and crowded hole-in-the wall serving mediocre Vietnamese food, look no further. It's always a bad sign when the only Asians in an Asian restaurant are the restaurant staff. And this is a Vietnamese restaurant located in one of Paris' numerous Chinatowns. The starter consisted of a spring roll, which was served wrapped... More

It's a restaurant the French love - probably it used to be very good and gained a great reputation. There is always a queue; sometimes you have to wait 30 mins to get a shared table. The cuisine is pretty good - they have Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai food and it's all decent quality. It's not pricey and you get fair... More

I am a vegetarian and I love Asian food. I am alos a relatively poor post grad student! This is the only place I have found in Paris (and I lived there for many years) where I could find good cheap vegetarian Asian food (in this case Vietnamese). I love this place. The menu never changes but it has a... More

Staying in Belleville / Pere Lachaise

Neighbourhood Profile
Belleville / Pere Lachaise
At the eastern edge of Paris lies Belleville / Père Lachaise, an understated wonderland of local treasures. Alongside the world-famous cemetery, family-owned delicatessens and cafés nestle between local stores and establishments. The richness of the population here has created a little Chinatown of Asian restaurants, and the area comes to life at night by a funky underground scene. Façades change from one street to another as one passes from white walled provincial homes to tall blocks and reconverted homes. The whole area is an inspirational mix of people from all corners of the world frequented by artists, students, immigrants, and Parisian families. Once home to supporters of the Paris commune, its rebellious nature is now offset by its rural charms.
