Great tasting food. I had take away Thai Green Curry and Pad Thai and another chicken dish with cashews. Although I enjoy spicy food ( I usually eat a Jalfrezi) I was advised to go mild spice on the curry. I am glad I did as it was spiced perfectly for me, any hotter and I think you lose all... More

This Thai isn't cheap (nor outrageous), but the portions are of a good size and good quality. The chicken satay is very tasty, as is the barbeque beef with the sauces served with it (a spicy Thai sauce, and satay). Pork noodles were delicious too. I had the beef with peppers, and was asked whether I wanted chilli. I said... More

We wanted a change of pace from the cafés and bistros and decided on this place as it was close by the hotel. The food was very good and the service was prompt and nice. The restaurant was a little warm but seems like no A/C is the norm in establishments. We ordered the shrimp dumplings and the papaya salad... More

A very pleasant little restaurant located not far from Montparnasse railway station so convenient for travellers. I think this is a family run affair and it has a pleasant atmosphere and the food was good but having just returned from Bangkok was not nearly spicy enough for me although they did bring me some dried chillie flakes to spice it... I went to Ban Som Tam with a few work colleagues, one of which is a regular and has been trying to take us for a while. The quality of the food was pretty good but a little overpriced. We all had the €30 menu. I had the Thai seafood salad for starters and the yellow curry for main, followed... More

Very good "neighbourhood" Thai with a nice choice of dishes. Not cheap so we say go for tHE "menu"..the one at 30€ seemed good value to us. They offer you a "degree" of spices ranging from 1 to 5 so things can get spicy; perfect for us but delicate palates might need to be carefuL Wines ok but again not... More

Nothing much 'wrong' with the food or the service. Scallops in red curry slightly undercooked but nice. Beef with fried peppers used to comenwith actual pepper corns now it was more of an almost Chinese run of the mill oystersauce experience. Nothing special. Two starters, two main courses, 3 small beers, one desert, .....no tea, no coffee, ........€100! That is... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
