I was leader of a large American student group, and booked this restaurant for our final night in Paris at the end of a two-week tour. I chose this place based on reviews that stated that it was a cozy typical French neighborhood restaurant with character and great food, and I like to have a really special concluding dinner. Either... More

Several of us were on our final night in Paris, so phoned ahead to make arrangements for dinner. When we arrived, they seemed surprised to see us, even though we had phoned ahead. We were served questionable wine, and a basket of sliced bread, some of which was moldy. Next came a porcelain bin full of cut vegetables, followed by... More

Came here with some expectation that this would be a cosy place comme la France profounde and from reading reviews, a buzzy local place at a reasonable price in Montparnasse. Oh dear how wrong can you be. Good rugby players said La Patronne on finding out we were from Pays de Galles. The surroundings were atmospheric and we had high... More

Wandering through the Parisienne streets on a chilly sunny autumn day after many hours we finally decided we needed to have a hot meal. We came across this quaint cosy little restaurant. Friendly fast service and accommodating for special requests in diet we had a delicious cuisine authentique. A real taste of France in every way. Highly recommended :)

We found the place by chance as we were looking for a restaurant. It's a small restaurant, feels more like being in your friend's living room. The hostess Valerie was extremely pleasant. There was a set menu at 32Euros which we took, it included a starter, main course and dessert AND unlimited house wine (red or white). My favorite was... More

A really great place to experience a true French family style meal in Paris. There are no menus but you won't need one. You're simply asked what your taste is and the food follows. I had scallops, charcuterie, and pasta. All were great as was the wine! I would highly recommend for an intimate dinner in Paris!

We had a party of 4 and my wife had found reviews online for this place. It sounded very interesting and the reviews were great so.....we went for it on our very first trip to Paris. It turned out to be an excellent choice. The owner is the chef and personally takes care of you and overlooks your service. She... More

We chanced upon this small restaurant while strolling around the neighborhood of our hotel. And we are so glad we did! The dinner we had was simple comfort food but marvelously delicious! The menu is set for the night. bUt it includes the wine as well. Red wine or white wine....which ever you prefer to go with your food....One can... More

Neighbourhood Profile
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
