Laduree is a Paris institution. Taking tea here is on par with afternoon tea at Claridges or the Ritz in London - only significantly cheaper. The pastries are divine. If you don't like macaroons (like me) there are many other cakes and pastries to choose from. The macaroons are widely held to be the finest in the world. The dining... More

Most horrible Laduree in Paris. Not recommended. Service is horrible. They gave us a really bad table by a faulty window. (Was shaking with a huge rattling noise whenever a vehicle by the road went past) The reception woman was horrible, we came at the opening hour (morning) and gave me the worst table even though there were available tables.... Had an early business breakfast with gluten-free dietary constraint. Highly recommend their scrambled eggs. Great central location as well.

Probably the best pastry in town! The macarons which made the reputation of Ladurée are equivalent to those from "la maison du chocolat" but for all the rest it's a MUST try! The salon de thé which I did not go to this time is also great with one if the finest hot chocolates one can experience - with the... More

Hands down the best macarons. It is on the pricey side, but compared to other stores, their macarons are a must try. I recommend the Pistachio, Salted Caramel, Coffee and Chocolate flavors. Their coffee was pretty good, too, but you can also get good coffee somewhere else. I love the decor of the cafe, too. Good break from all the... More

We visited for breakfast on Saturday and we were in desperate need of carbs after a heavy night! Laduree as always delivered! We had Eggs benedict and scrambled eggs with lots of toast, tea and iced coffee. We also (as it was closer to brunch) finished our meal with a cake! Which again - perfection as always. Highly recommend and... More

Our visit to Laduree was the absolute perfect culmination of our short, crazy and wild trip to Paris. It was my daughters 30th birthday. She is in the macaron business in Michigan, and Laduree has always been her inspiration. Through the years she would say, "Someday Mama we will visit there and eat macarons in that beautiful place". On a... More

Being asked to bring back home some of the macarons from Laduree, i went in and enjoyed in the little cafe nearby a marvellous hot chocolate (chocolat viennois)... mmmh. so delicious! when you find time, stop by before lunch and enjoy the cosy atmosphere.

I went to get their ever famous macaroons but decided to stay and have tea instead. Pretty place with wonderful ambience. Good place to chill and grab small bites or even lunch. Staff were very accommodative and ever willing to assist. For such a quaint place one is obviously expected to pay a little more than average. But again it... More

Description
"AN EXEMPLARY BACKGROUND - the history of Parisian tea rooms is closely linked to the history of the Ladurée family. Everything began in 1862, when Louis Ernest Ladurée, man of the Southwest of France, miller of his state, created a bakery that became a pastry shop, at 16, rue Royale in Paris. The highly theatrical decoration will be entrusted to Jules Cheret. THE FEMININE TOUCH - under the second empire, with the development of Parisian cafes, Jeanne Souchard, wife of Ernest Ladurée, had the idea of mixing genres: the café and pastry shop, giving birth to one of the first of the great Parisian salons. INFINITELY MORE THAN A PASTRY SHOP - this place full of history with a refined atmosphere charmed David Holder and his father Francis, founder of the Holder group. They decided to buy and then promote and expand the famous Establishment, the Mecca of Parisian culinary creation."
