If you long for excellent beef, lamb or ham this is for you. What a super, atmospheric place on two floors. You will be pampered, wonderfully fed and "watered" by the best of loyal staff who seem to make a life's career out of being very good at their job ... there... they stay, which is a great sign. A... If you enjoy getting nice piece of meat, it is the right place to go. Chose the piece you like and get it the way you like. Very simple but great quality

I have been going to Louchbem for 25 years or more. But recently, I regret I am constantly disappointed with the quality. I went today because I wanted a nice, juicy, tasty steak. "La belle piece" was advertised as being just that. €25.90. Expensive but worth it in terms of potential satisfaction. However, the result was very far from satisfactory.... More

Delicious meat cuts and very friendly staff. Was there based on the good reviews (and tasted the famous onion soup), was not disappointed. Made a reservation and got a table in the upstairs dining area which is lovely. Will go back there for sure when back in town!

After reading the mainly positive reviews online, I gave this place a go and was disappointed by the quality of food. Staff struggled with English which made it harder as my French is poor. Ordered the beef tenderloin (ordered medium whilst usually have medium-rare in U.K.) - and can say the steak was not tender at all (even though was... More

Vegans watchout!!! We left this place almost in a meat coma.....and loved it. One of the better meals on this trip to Paris. We were there early, walked inand got an upstairs table. We were lucky, not long and the place was packed, obviously mostly people who had been before as well. Very meat heavy menu, as the name (... More

It was my friends from San Francisco who stayed at nearby hotel and were suggested by the hotel to go to this place. Nothing fancy, really. We have taken duck breasts and it was dry and not juicy at all. My friends were complaining.

The food was very good, the quality of meats are really good. The waiter was really kind and helpful also with our child to help to chose a kids food. I recommend this place its a safe place to go if in Paris. The onion soup is really amazing by the way.

A restaurant in the heart of the former meat packing district of the city. There since 19th century, these butchers have skills. Meat expertly prepared and served with complementary wine. We arrived after 10pm and had to wait a few minutes for a table as it was still crowded. Large cuts, prompt service and delicious food. Perfect.

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
