Nice minimalist decor. Fresh noodles everyday made by the chef in a small room inside the restaurant. Makes a change from the majority of the sushi and brochettes Japanese restaurants in Paris. Cooking is light and maybe a bit too light. Recommended: fried oysters, octopus with red beans, shrimp tempura.

I find this lpace simply incredible. The food, the food, the food. It's not about decor - which is nice enough. Or the service - which is fair enough. It's just about amazing authentic Japanese food. I find it incredible that in the middle of Paris, Japanese tourists (not local Japanese people but actual tourists from Japan) come to eat... More

I had dinner last night at the Yen, not the first time, went there many times in the last few years. It was an wonderful experience as usual. The quality of the dishes was excellent, the service very nice, friendly, and feeling like being in Tokyo. I strongly recommend to all fans of Japanese food. We had the €70 menu... More

We had lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was full and it is safest to make a reservation to get a table. Food - Tempuras and noodle are exceptional. If you arrive at the right time, you can even see the chef prepare the noodle in front of the window. Service - Friendly, efficient and discreet. Design - Simple... More

From basic soba noodles to experimentation in new dishes, Yen blends traditional ingredients with a twist of nouvelle cuisine and presents an interesting array that pleases all palates. They may be tiring from their success as some dishes are no longer as good as they used to be and portions are always a little small for the liking. A great... More

Staff is very attentive and pay attention to details. I had sushi mackerel that was good even though too much rice. The cold noodle were not as nice as i remembered. The cooked salmon was excellent and the sancerre well chilled. 105 euros for two people but was nice.

A cosy atmosphere and a highly refined japanese cuisine. Small dishes but delicious. Good quality of products but missing a bit of quantity in the plates, especially the black cod. Service is unequal, from amazingly generous and nice waiters to more contemptuous ones... to improve.

I have at Yen couple of years ago. This time I was so surprised and disappointed by the mediocrity. Even the plates! Needs complete renovation from walls until the kitchen

YEN is a must. It is perfectly located around the corner of Café de Flore. Service is delicate and efficient and the food is exceptional. We like having lunch or dinner on the second floor. It is quiet and relaxing. As we are lucky enough to live nearby, we go to YEN once or twice a week.

The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères.
