Having read some of the glowing reviews here we were a little disappointed. I went for dinner with my wife. Starters were fine but our main course wasn't so good as the gambas were somewhat overcooked and the whole dish was nothing really special. The tart tatin was a little too sweet.

We were staying nearby, and recognized Pomze's name from a travel show we had recently seen (not sure which). We got a table for 2 without a reservation, which felt lucky considering the place was packed. Our waiter was incredibly sweet and helpful, and the chef was kind to accommodate my allergy to pepper/s of all kinds throughout every course.... More

You dine at the upper floor, in one of several not-too-large rooms. The ambient is quiet, and good for conversation. Furnishing is accurately tuned to the restaurant's theme, that is, apples. In fact, almost all menu items include, in one way or the other, apples. Yet, the food is very good and the recipes are not trivial at all. The... More

Our hotel concierge recommended this Restaurant and it was just what we wanted for dinner! Nearby, price-fixed, very tasty with great service. All the dishes feature "apples" sour, sweet, hot, cold, fried, baked, iced, cider.

The restaurant features it namesake the apple in many of the dishes. However in some of the dishes the apple is used to enhance or add to the flavors of the main ingredients. We had a private room as we were a large group along with a fixed meal. Our main dish was salmon and it was perfectly cooked nice... More

The restaurant is like a big apartment with several rooms. It is great for small parties and we can ask for private room. The theme of restaurant is on apple, dishes with apple and apple ciders. I think the chef is Japanese. Menu is 36 euros for diner of 3 courses. There are some dishes which need additional price but... More

Loved the cider tasting option. Although, I would NOT reccomend the Tart Tatin, it was the worst I had ever had. All the other dishes were by contrast excellent, including the other desserts. NB. my friend points out her Veal Sweetbread was pretty average. But the Apple Mousse was execptional

I knew Pomze had an apple theme. What I didn't know was the current chef's Japanese background. The ways he mixed French and Japanese culinary techniques, always keeping the apple theme in mind, are truly inspired. For example, the risotto I mentioned was the bed for roasted shrimp that had been dipped in Calvados, apple brandy. The three of us... More

Description
Pomze restaurant just minutes from Paris’ grands boulevards and the Place St-Augustin is all about apples. From the moment you step into the bar and sample one of the 30 ciders or the house-made Nayade cocktail (Granny Smith plus Polish vodka), you will enter a world where Eve’s fruit is the centre of the universe. The first floor restaurant, with its Haussmannian proportions, is smartly decorated in modern style – with apple-themed art -- and sectioned into intimate dining spaces. Or enjoy the ambience of the stone cellar with its cider bottle décor. Seasonally-changing dishes include pommeau-marinated wild boar terrine with apple and chestnuts, or scallop risotto with pumpkin, apple and fig chutney. Wines are served here, too, and there’s a gourmet shop so you can share the experience at home.
