We have been at Maxim's twice in the past, first time in 1983. It was the birthday of my wife and we would like to remember the past. The restaurant gives the impression of been poorly maintained needing a renovation but Maxim's atmosphere is still...More

If I didn’t know any better I would imagine it was a comedy sketch. Food almost inedible, atmosphere tired and drained. Waiters horrible. Michelin prices for a dreary joke. It felt like a parody of itself. Do not go!

My wife and I saved the best for last: Maxim's. What a rich history, now owned by Pierre Cardin; it was gorgeous, vintage, and seductive. The quality of the food, the presentation of it, the attentiveness of the staff, all first rate by themselves, but...More

We have been to many good and excellent restaurants, some Michelin starred some not, so we are not phased by high prices and not easily pleased by the quality of service and food served. We had for years planned to visit Maxim's 'one day' and...More

This area is characterized by its namesake avenue

Yes, there is a bar. On their website it says the restaurant is closed Sundays and Mondays, and for lunch (except for groups of 40 or more). So, I’m presuming no breakfast, lunch, nor brunch.

I do not think the one I utilized was. I'd ask the restaurant as there may have been another option. They were very helpful in communications prior to visiting.

I went there on Bastille Day and it was smart casual. I wore a dress and my husband a jacket with no tie. But we saw other costumers more casual.
